For me, it's three-way tie:
The old "Paradise" book
The "Youth" book
"Revelation - Its Grand Climax At Hand"
what, in your opinion, is the worst thing that the society has released?
(book / tract / video / audio cassette)

i'm inactive since many years and i met an elder yesterday while i was driving in the city.
i made my stop, and an elder passed in front of me driving very slowly and made a very sad and disapproved face.
although it lasted about 3 seconds, i could feel exactly what he was thinking.. i felt as if i was a very bad boy not wanting to play knock knock on doors with them anymore.. for the inactive ones, do you often get that kind of disapproved look?.
this is a highly interesting wt material (70 pages),.
that prepares jw's for child custody court cases.... .
some statements are shocking, there are many.
Ah, yes - "Theocratic Warfare" = lyin' yer arse off on the stand.
from another thread:.
simon is now probably britains public enemy number one in watchtower eyes.
his forum has helped so many escape from the organisation.
Here, here!
Simon, you rock!!!
i want to give my house a name.
lot's of my neighbours have already done this, so we have a plethora of name boards springing up in my road.
(actually, i susupect it's a sort of snobbery so that people will know that it's not just another old house full of flats and bedsits but a privately owned whole house).
My vote:
Dubdrubbin'
i'll let you know right now, i've got a big soft spot for animals.
(except spiders) .
kittens especially.
Very nice! I, too, have a soft spot for pussies kitties! When I was a Commuter Bethelite at the ol' 360 Furman Street building in Brooklyn, I took home an injured & abandonded kitten. I named him "Furman", and kept him for a couple of months before turning him over to the North Shore Animal League, where I am sure they found him a permanent home (they are NOT like the ASPCA, and have a "no kill" policy).

being raised a witness, my mother has asked me whether or not i held her responsible for her bringing me up in the way that she has.
i feel that my upbringing is something my mother can be proud about.
even though i do not believe in the "truth", i do feel that she did a good job of raising us.
Yeah, except for the being raised in a cult part.
I honestly feel they were doing the best they knew how - unfortunately they thought raising their kids as Dubs was the best thing. Some parts of my personality and behavior I am thankful to them for, but I still have resentment at being raised a JW. (sigh) Things I talk to my therapist about.

By the way, my ex-wife hated the 3 stooges and thought they were vulgar. Baby Jet loves them and laughed just as much as I did when we watched them together. Score!!
Ah, that reminds me of something I used to tell my wife (of nearly 9 months, now), "I HAVE to marry you - you're the only woman I've ever met that actually enjoys the Three Stooges!"
Looks like I'm not the only one! Enjoy your new-found love!
although cbs, dateline nbc etc have also correctly documented the child molestation situation involving the watchtower society (wts) over jehovah's witnesses (jws), this, which is also shocking, is to even better inform the general public including medical personnel, jws themselves and persons studying bible subjects with them.
your sharing copies of this will can help save many lives even as others have already told us.
christmas: the wts teaches that christ was likely born about october 2, so why ignore that this means that he must have been conceived 9 months before, meaning in late december.
Rainbow, you're preaching to the choir. Post this in "Bible Discussions" or whatever.
