Ok, maybe i am wrong... but, questions 3, 6 and 7 are not about SEX!!

3. Living together?? i can live w a friend.. they should have said HAVE SEX..

6. Abortion??? that's a consquence of sex, but is not a question about the act of SEX

7. Divorce?? people can divorce for many reasons..

today i was cleaining my house and found an usb stick a brother (ex-bethelite pioneer/ms) left here a few months back when they came to visit me for "guidance"... i had completly forgot about it... i remember seeing a note by my door a couple days later asking me if i found the stick, i didnt even pay attention to it.... i guess he gave up.... well today i finally had time to look at the contents and to my surprise i found files and files of house-to-house records... who lives where, who opened the door, dates, publisher, etc... being my "deep respect" for all teochratic ish (sense my sarcasm) i proceeded to hit delete, delete, delete... aww the awesome feeling... just wanted to share!!

to what extent did you, as a jw... read/know the contents of the bible?

I was a pioneer for about 1 1/2 years... i have never read the Bible completely... i read parts of it and took interpretation and what i thought it was common sense as the truth... now that i look back i understand i was blind and probably lazy to look further...

Also, i wanted to add.. the whole elders/pioneers/privileges are apointed by the angels/holy spirit or whatever ish is a big fat LIE... i became a pioneer to get them off my hair and make THEM happy... i never liked it and NEVER made my full 70 hours, i lied, lied, lied (3 for emphasis) in EVERY montlhy report while i was pioneering...

Reaching Out to my ExJW Cousin

i am sure many of us have had experiences while we were active jws where we were often discouraged from talking to worldy or disfellowshipped family members regardess of occasion or circumstance.

i was always told not to communicate with one of my cousins who, along with her husband had faded back in the 90's and are now off celebrating christmas, birthdays and such.

she has been the victim of many a snub and all out unkindness from various family members, including me.

There is none... no love, no anything.... i was talking to one of my JW friends (who knows i am fading and tries to avoid the subject) today and she said her brother, who's df'd, is going to get married and she wishes she could go and meet the future wife.... i said "what is stopping you? he is your flesh and blood and is your only brother" she said "but what about my privelege (she is a pioneer) and well he knows how things work, but he is working to come back and i can give study to his wife"... i was like WTF is wrong w her... she is talking to ME i am out as well... but just because i am not officially df'd she is fine w it, but she cannot talk to her own flesh and blood?!!! that stupid cult destroys families!

How are things going since my exit?

today i got accepted to a christian university and we had an earthquake!!!

the college is located here in va and is the largest christian university in the us.

my husband is worried about the money but the fact that it's liberty u upsets him more.. otherwise things are good between us things are tense on meeting days.

I am so proud of you!!! you are doing great! and you are getting yourself ready for even greater things!! sorry i could not keep talking today (my class was about to be done w their test) but i wanted to say hoooraaayy for you!!! your husband is a lucky man (and he knows it) he has a wonderful, caring loving, wife... and even though you may not share the same spiritual beliefs anymore, you do share your love for your family... remember what i told you.... you can teach him by example, be discreet, loving and understanding even when he is not, show him that your love for your family and for him is bigger than anything the WT could offer him!! xoxo luv ya girl!

i knew someone can be disfellowshipped, publicly/privately reproved or dissasociated themselves.. but i never heard of marking.. can someone please care to explain that term to me?.

Wow!!! that's a whole new concept to me!! i mean, while i was in i knew of reprovals and disfellowshiping, but never marking, i mean people would "unofficially" single others out that were not "spiritual" but it was a personal thing (seriously) even the term "senalar" was never heard of, at leat in my congo.. we did have the typicall "needs" talks every once in a while... one of my JW friends she is a great person, except she dresses "wordly" aka too tight and too sexy, but because she is not showing any clevelage and her skirts are long enough, they cannot do anything more the give her counsel... we had many, many, MANY talks about dress code, and everyone knew who the talk was for, but did we care? NO. I know most of us still hanged out w her every weekend and had fun... i guess it depends on the congo.... :)

Thanks to both of you!! well, in the spanish congregation is called "censurar" and it was my understanding that is the same as saying someone was "reproved" i guess are different words for the same thing... thanks again!
