Jehovah's Witnesses and the Great Crowd
by Meshech inas jesus christ was preparing to go to his death, he encouraged his disciples with these words:.
"in my father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, i would have told you.
i go to prepare a place for you.

My brother is shunning me (but he's not a Witness)
by john.prestor ini didn't know where to post this but it's been on my mind and i'm looking for support and advice from people who know what it's like being shunned.
i was raised in a fundamentalist baptist church, so what i'm experiencing is a little different than most posters on this site.
i've been out of that church for years, and my brother's been out for a while too.

The people chiding him about the video game are being dumbasses and missing the point. Nobody cares about your opinion on video games. Stop confusing the back-story with the main issue.
At any rate, I know it sucks, but it's probably for the best if he is shunning you. He clearly is not well and is never going to be well until he admits to himself that he's not well and actively seeks to do something about it. All you will know is repeated pain if you continue coming back to him without his acknowledgment that he's being completely inappropriate.

They would Stone us if the law would allow

So, 1952 is your definition of “several years ago”?
The poster didn't say 1952 was several years ago. Here's what the poster said:
Several years ago unless I was dreaming I read a watchtower quotation
The post was extremely clear that he/she read the quotation several years ago. So if you want to be a stickler, maybe start by stickling yourself.
The thing is, I frequently agree with the content of some of your posts -- the ones that urge caution against reckless speculation and wild conjecture. But sometimes you can just be a flipping douche for no apparent reason against someone who did nothing to incur it. This is one of those times.
You don't have to be a smartass all the time. It'll lose its potency if you are.

Sucks man.
I got the cult-addled, mindlesss, unwilling to question anything even when it's in front of them in black and white parents.
My wife has the drug/alcohol using, mentally (and sometimes physically) abusing parents.
Between the two of us, we've got a lot of baggage. Parents can really screw up their kids, and some stuff never goes away.
We made a pact that it stops with us. Our daughter will never experience such things, and is quite the social butterfly.

Sentinel Island: Rewards for Those Who Expand Their Ministry, Blessings Await You!!!!!
by moomanchu in"can you serve where the need for kingdom publishers is greater?".
https://www.cnn.com/2018/11/22/asia/north-sentinel-island-worlds-isolated-tribes-intl/index.html.
the message of jehovah’s kingdom by christ has already gained grand triumphs throughout the earth because he backs up and blesses the preaching of this “good news” by his witnesses in all the inhabited earth.

Living in India can be very pleasant or sometimes very dangerous in some places. As a European, having resided myself during more than ten years in India, I know what I am talking about. Sometimes you have to be very careful to survive in the Indian Subcontinent. But what about the United States where almost everyone, even children, can now carry a firearm ? If now I had to leave Europe for some reason, I would prefer to live in India rather than in the United States.
Trump may love to spew BS (don't blame me, I voted against him), but his talk about "fake news" is legit. Frequently it's not that stories are completely made up, but rather than the reporting on the stories leaves out pretty significant details.
So don't believe everything you hear on the news about guns and life in the USA. For instance, would it surprise you to know that the places with the worst gun violence invariably end up being the places that have the tightest gun control? Does it surprise you to find out that "mass shootings" seem to happen in places where guns are prohibited rather than places where a high percentage of the population owns guns?
We could talk more about this stuff, but I'll just say be wary of what you hear.

Obviously.........it takes a serious level of participation re taxes to support the British NHS.
That's all I'm saying. The people who say it costs them nothing are factually wrong.
However when it comes to needing medical care.......... it's one for all and all for one.
I look forward to the day that health care here in the US is mandated the way Social Security and Medicare is. Because in almost every case you will get every dollar back that you paid out.
I'm of two minds on it. Certainly the system here is broken and something will have to give at some point or else people will simply give up on paying any medical bills at all.

The merits of a national health system can certainly be argued, but to claim that medical expenses cost a person nothing is obviously incorrect.

Blood Transfusion Permitted
by Nevuela ini just overheard an anointed acquaintance on the phone with a friend of hers who has just had surgery for cervical cancer.
among the snippets of dialogue i heard on my end of the line, these ones stood out:.
"you lost a lot of blood?

"But you're not a witness, you're only studying."
"At this point, you can still take blood, yes."
"You did what you had to do to stay alive and take care of your kids."Translation:
"I need you to not kill yourself off until after you've gotten baptized so that I can take credit for your conversion."

What I could never understand is why aren`t any of those anointed in any K.H. anywhere in the world given any positions of authority in their local congregations ?
If Jesus covenant applied to him and the 144000 only then why aren`t the anointed recognized at the KH.? and given the due respect they should receive ? After all they are future king and priests to rule alongside Jesus.
These are the questions dubs should be asking, but won't out of fear (several different fears, actually).
There is one absolute, universal truth from which this cult has never and will never waiver: The Governing Body will never enact any change that intentionally takes money from their coffers, nor any change that decreases their power over the lives of others. If you agree that the latter part of the last sentence is true, then you'll understand why the GB kicked the "regular anointed" out of the FDS club and why they won't share any of their glory with any of them.
