  shocking information near the bottom of this report from a watchtower lawyer definding the organization in australian courts.focus on the information under the heading: "the faithful and discreet slave".

  quite the shocker... the society's lawyer statesthere is no true physical body of people, but only a theological arrangement.

  US Royal Commission or Something Like it

  what would be the equivalent of a us version of the royal commission?

  i'm not just asking about one specific governmental entity, but perhaps even a conglomerate of entities or series of events that would need to take place to cause a domino effect....a tipping point.

  who do you think needs to be contacted that can turn around and contact a lot of others?looking for thoughts and ideas.

  The girl next door - great post! I didn't know that there was a Presidential Commission in the US. I will dig into that further and see if we can get some contacts to communicate with.

  JWdaughter I also agree that the actual "judicial committees" and their processes are flawed. This point is very important, and it is something that does need a closer look by all officials and governmental agencies, in terms of understanding the overall JW mindset.

  OrphanCrow hello there and I'd like to thank you as well for taking the time to post your thoughts. Really, I did not think of the judicial committees in this way, and you do certainly have some valid points.

I appreciate you trying to answer questions from other posters here, however I'd like for you to consider everyone's ideas here as valid and important, even if they disagree with the content/resource kit/letter template. I prefer to answer and communicate with people who have posted here directly. I do appreciate your good intentions and thank you for the time and efforts you've put into things so far.
  
  I appreciate everyone's input here. In any case it boils down to one of two paths;

  1. You don't agree/like what this post is about. You are not comfortable spreading the ideas presented - Your thoughts and feelings are valid. You have my blessings to continue you on your own path/journey. :)
  
  2. You may/may not completely agree, but you do want to bring more awareness to the ideas presented.Or you want to explore the ideas with an open mind and do some of your own research on it.
  

  There is a lot more information to this in the works and it takes some time to go through all of the information. So I believe that I've covered everything. Anything further, you can message in private.

  Although I was looking for a few helpers (which some great folks have responded and started working on things arlready). I think the most important thing that has happened is a dialogue and a discussion about the topic that started. Carry on.   Interesting mix of reactions here. Appreciate everyone's thoughts, opinions, and comments here. If you do not agree with parts of the resource kit and/or the letter, feel free to create your own resource kits and letters, along with your own designated purpose.
  
  
  Umbertoecho hi there and thanks for responding. As you can see in the screen shot below, I've highlighted the word "suspected" in my original post. If you do not feel comfortable with the information in the resource kit and the direction of the letter, then that is perfectly fine :) I encourage you to have a look at it to spark your own ideas for letters and/or resource kits if you feel so inclined.

  • No risk of jail time

  • You can take a break any time
  • No one looking over your shoulder

  No stress, no fuss. You don't even have to wreck your brain on what to write. Letter writing template can be sent to you, so that you can quickly and easily write your own version. A list of contacts with their emails can be sent to you and you can simply copy and paste for the most part.
  
  Five emails could be done in all of five minutes or less. Do five emails every two or three days. The average person knows approximately 600 people according to NY times (http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/19/science/the-average-american-knows-how-many-people.html?_r=0)

  So 5 x 600 = 3000. If you sent out emails to 5 people three times a week 5 x 3=15 x 600 = 9,000 people you've potentially reached within a week's time. Of course these are numbers and in practice things always come out different, however, you do understand that whatever little you do can have an exponentially lasting and positive effect.
  

  These emails go to hubs that are connected to a lot of people in positions of power, so consider that your simple mouse clicks as super powerful tools right at your finger tips.

  with all the talk about the org's policies and failures regarding child sexual abuse being publically exposed in australia, i thought that it may be a good time to highlight this... i apologise if this has already been discussed, but on the 9th of july the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales was opened.

  Yes I have something to add. Write to the Inquiry. They want to know about your experience and your story. These commissions and inquiries are interactive and designed for public engagement. You don't have even get out of your bed. You can email these officials from your cell phone or laptop.

  Armchair activism can be just as effective as the picketing with signs, if not even more effective when you factor social media and viral messages. Grab yourself a beer or a coffee and think about the power you have at your finger tips.

  Elder's Meeting about ARC? No. Really?

  as you may or may not know (or care), i live in the uk.

  a jw spy of mine told me that an elder had metioned that attendance at the kingdom hells had seemed to have dropped off after the australian royal comission expose of paedophilia within the watchtower organisation.. the elders were said to have had this as an item or the subject of a local elder's meeting.. i was surprised they'd even heard of the arc over here but at the same time was delighted.

  delighted that meeting attendance had dropped possibly....and i say possibly...as a result of the arc.. even an older dyed in the wool jw i know is getting sick of the gb worship within the organisation and had heard of the arc.. has anyone heard similar?.

  Some interesting posts here. There are a lot of variables that are unknown, however, I can tell you with confidence that the Royal Commission's work has a global impact, especially when you connect the dots on all of the major news events involving JWs.

  I Have written to the Inquiry and my case is from USA. Have also gotten favorable response back saying that although they do not specifically cover territory outside of their country, they do consider the information coming from survivors from all over the globe and will forward my information to the proper staff.

  Please, help me to show the USA that a public inquiry into child abuse...

  it needs to be done as soon as possible.. and i need you to help me.. i need someone, maybe more than one person, to draft a template, for a letter to the white house.. it has to clearly state that the usa is falling way behind many other countries, in terms of protecting children in institutions nationwide.. it has to make this clear: .

  both australia and the uk (independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales, see here: www.csa-inquiry.independent.gov.uk/about-the-inquiry ) are currently investing large amounts of time and financial resources to research the best possible policies to protect children, across all institutions, religious and nonreligious.. they are working to expose the failures of various institutions, that have not reported child abuse, or have even covered it up... why are the united states of america not doing the same?!!.
