Spoke with Leander James, one of the attorneys in this conglomerate. He informed me that NY is looking to change law this year for child sex abuse victims for an entire year to report, without certain limitations. He went on to explain that since the child policies, 2 witness rule and other organizational policies affecting child sex abuse within the org were created in NY, that it could possibly enable victims from other states to seek legal recourse and sue JW.org/Watchtower in NY. That was not the only reason, however , it is something of interest.
I googled Leander James and he has experience with child sex abuse lawsuits. A lot of these attorneys in this group have a history of experience in this field. I know that others have stated that there are red flags to look out for, so there's that. My own knowledge of this group of law firms is limited.

if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

i remember i had just heard about confirmation bias, and it hit me: i realized that i would be guilty of confirmation bias if i didn't look at the other side.

Hi WeatherLover welcome. Kudos for your courage in daring to take a look at what is out there on Jehovah's Witnesses. Congratulations on your future possibilities for freedom and health.Setting healthy boundaries with those you love can sometimes be very painful. You have to risk being real and risk rejection and risk the possibility of being the "persecutor/bad guy" in unhealthy triangulations. What you are experiencing as a young adult is normal and natural, the Will to be an individual who makes their own decisions and takes on responsibility for their life in their own hands. This is the opposite of the enmeshment many religious organizations and parents work so hard to keep their kids and members in.
Jehovah's Witness parents have an almost impossible time separating the difference between an adult child and a adult son/daughter. You're also dealing with wanting to go to college and possibly being LGBT, so that's quite a bit to deal and work with, but you're among friends who we support you :)

i guess some will think it should be obvious - but this is where misunderstandings arise because we end up wrongly attributing something to jw organization that was never said.. circuit assembly theme: maintain love for jehovah!.
note to speaker: warmly encourage young ones to prove their friendship with jehovah by observing his commandments and defending his standards.

At first glance I thought it was an ad flyer for some kind of marathon, or fitness program for a gym of sorts. Then you see its the Jehovah's and it's telling you not to give up. Makes no sense whatsoever, but smells of desperation in a subtle and undeniable way. lol

i just wanted to add after finishing it last night, it is a must watch for questioning jws...every episode has familiar situations and parallels that will make jws really think (or squirm).
