Ego, cliques and mental illness contribute to the annointed thingie. JW's have a narcissistic breeding ground and some egos take the narcissism to a much more extreme level. Narcissistic mentality believes everyone else is wrong and they are right. They refuse to question themselves or self-examine and instead condem the rest of the world to death. Malignant narcissim at it's finest. So when you have inside JW's thinking they are better than the rank and file JW's, and you can pretty much just self endorse yourself on it, you'll have a lot of egos inflating.
Also, keep in mind that JW elders are complicit in criminal behavior in many areas of the world, when they follow the 2 witness rule for child sex abuse. While some jump on the pedophile bandwagon when seeing molestation go on in their hall and the 2 witness rule making it easy to molest, others may hate such things and hate being forced to enforce such a 2 witness rule. So they try to work these things in their head and being "annointed" can help them feel absolved of responsibility of being part of the enabling process of child sexual abuse within Watchtower, JW.org.
Others , such as JW women, may feel low self esteem and this could be a way to be special, although the curious thing is that the JW's call their annointed looney.

Why Are More JWs Claiming to be Anointed?
by Ding inmost jws i know claim they are happy being in the great crowd.
they'd rather live on a paradise earth and pet lions than go to heaven.. heaven is a place they can't relate to, a place where they don't expect their friends and loved ones to be.. so why are more and more jws claiming to be of the anointed?.
aren't they looked down upon as if they are crazy, proud, ignorant, or engaging in apostate thinking?.

Learning the History of the Australia Royal Commission
by berrygerry inas there is way too much info for me to parse and research, i may be unaware of more info.. however, i only just stumbled upon this news article of 2011 which referenced steven unthank.. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/archive/news/former-witness-taking-on-watch-tower/news-story/320c3f2aa9a00f76501152dd6d9144ab.
this is turn led to this article, which imo, appears a gentle attempt to undermine mr. unthank.. https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/222099/steven-unthank-what-do-we-really-know.
in view of the phenomenal coverup revealed by the arc, and as the above thread is five years old, i thought it appropriate to give mr. unthank tremendous "thanks" for his courage and determination..

Oh definitely, Mr. Unthank has done a tremendous amount of straight up AMAZING BRILLIANCE and he is STILL doing it now, just behind the scenes.
It reminds me of the principle of "The Critical Few" or Pareto's 80/20 law, where only a small, tiny handful of things/people are responsible for 80% of the results. You won't see his face plastered all over the social networks, on YouTube begging for donations, making Tshirts, etc. Instead, he's quietly behind the scenes making moves that send ripples and waves of Justice, Accountability and positive change throughout space and time.
I had posted some videos going into detail about some of the things Mr. Unthank has done for us and was attacked by someone named Laura Kaput who said she was a friend of Mr. Unthank and she wanted me to remove my posts. She said that by posting the same links you posted, I was putting Mr. Unthank's life in danger and demanded that I remove the links. The links and info posted are *PUBLIC* info, and public websites, which took all of 15 to 20 minutes of superficial research. In any case, so glad to see.
Besdies, Mr. Unthank is on my friends' list and he could have spoken for himself, which he apparently never had a problem with, as he never asked me to take it down.
Love Mr. Unthank and so glad to see that others are recognizing just how important he is. Thank you Mr. Unthank for all that you've done and all that you continue to do. -

I was manning a cart
by closed ini was manning a cart not long ago.
o, aye:) .

Way interesting experience. Thanks for sharing. It is telling how the others agreed that what you did was the best way to do it. It's not like people can't Google you and your org right quick, as you're doing your cart thing. This site is quite prominent in the organic search engine results for a whole host of keywords, including "Jehovah" "JW.org" "Jehovah's Witnesses" and "Watchtower", just to name a few. Then, some cell phones direct you to Youtube, which definitely hasn't been the best for this organization's already dubious reputation.
Jehovah has been outed of the pedophile paradise closet.

As someone who has been on the receiving end of violent sexual abuse at the hands of Jehovah's pedophile, I saw how adults routinely ignored me when I pleaded for help. Despite being told to shut up, I never stopped talking about it and was subsequently "marked" until I left at 21. Many adults knew, as not only were they told by the Incubator (woman who gave birth to me), but also by me begging for help. Entire congregation knew and the neighboring congregations had elders and people in there that knew. They didn't care to help, but sure did care to gossip and use it as conversation pieces amongst themselves. There was even one elder who took a special interest in me, by calling one-man judicial committees with the incubator & the step-person (her husband). He would relentlessly hound me about associating with "worldly" kids as he told them he wanted to keep the congregation clean, all the while KNOWING I was being violently sexually abused. He wasn't even in our congregation! After he had these meetings with the incubator and step-pedophile, they'd come home angry, and the step would beat me with his fists and metal part of belt buckle, quoting the scriptures fed to him by this elder. I think he was wanting to groom the situation and take advantage of it for his own narcissistic gratifications.
I think he was wanting to groom the situation and take advantage of it for his own depraved narcissistic gratifications. Up to this day he helps cover up several other child sex abuse cases within his congregation.
So it's interesting to see adults now try to deflect blame. Watchtower wants to deflect and say it's the individual elders and congregation members/parents who are responsible. They in turn want to blame mamma-org.

TV commercial seen in the United States, from a Law firm "Asking if you were ever sexually abused by JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, please call".
by Dunedain inok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.
if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

Spoke with Leander James, one of the attorneys in this conglomerate. He informed me that NY is looking to change law this year for child sex abuse victims for an entire year to report, without certain limitations. He went on to explain that since the child policies, 2 witness rule and other organizational policies affecting child sex abuse within the org were created in NY, that it could possibly enable victims from other states to seek legal recourse and sue JW.org/Watchtower in NY. That was not the only reason, however , it is something of interest.
I googled Leander James and he has experience with child sex abuse lawsuits. A lot of these attorneys in this group have a history of experience in this field. I know that others have stated that there are red flags to look out for, so there's that. My own knowledge of this group of law firms is limited. -

My Story
by WeatherLover ini'm a 4th generation jw.
i started to realize it wasn't the truth over 2 years ago in late october/early november 2014. i don't know how exactly it happened.
i remember i had just heard about confirmation bias, and it hit me: i realized that i would be guilty of confirmation bias if i didn't look at the other side.

Hi WeatherLover welcome. Kudos for your courage in daring to take a look at what is out there on Jehovah's Witnesses. Congratulations on your future possibilities for freedom and health.Setting healthy boundaries with those you love can sometimes be very painful. You have to risk being real and risk rejection and risk the possibility of being the "persecutor/bad guy" in unhealthy triangulations. What you are experiencing as a young adult is normal and natural, the Will to be an individual who makes their own decisions and takes on responsibility for their life in their own hands. This is the opposite of the enmeshment many religious organizations and parents work so hard to keep their kids and members in.
Jehovah's Witness parents have an almost impossible time separating the difference between an adult child and a adult son/daughter. You're also dealing with wanting to go to college and possibly being LGBT, so that's quite a bit to deal and work with, but you're among friends who we support you :)

2017 Circuit Assembly: Lesbians at school demonstration
by darkspilver insteve2: is there some way this can be presented so that it is crystal clear what was actually in the demonstrations and what was added?
i guess some will think it should be obvious - but this is where misunderstandings arise because we end up wrongly attributing something to jw organization that was never said.. circuit assembly theme: maintain love for jehovah!.
note to speaker: warmly encourage young ones to prove their friendship with jehovah by observing his commandments and defending his standards.

I do have to say OrphanCow you are right. When you look at it like this, it is strange to see the athletic male silhouette as their theme and them go and talk about lesbians.

At first glance I thought it was an ad flyer for some kind of marathon, or fitness program for a gym of sorts. Then you see its the Jehovah's and it's telling you not to give up. Makes no sense whatsoever, but smells of desperation in a subtle and undeniable way. lol
