Pentecostal Madness: Panties, Wife swapping, aggression and epylepsy

though i have never been a pentecostal, i remember well the frequent stories i heard of this religious movement while going from house-to-house in the past.

i wonder if you guys heard similar stories.

one story i heard a few times was about the confession of some males going to pentecostal churches to peek at girls throwing themselves all over the floor in epileptic movements, and some mention the word "panties" being exposed as an attraction to them.

That sounds pretty bad; since none in our family is familiar with that. But we did see a lot bad behavior

at different KH's! A lot of; leg showing, low tops, push-up bras, hip swaying, and fast jello bottom strutting

in summer dresses. Many elders, pioneers, and their young and grown children were often the most brazen.

Including; flirting with married ones, bending over, drooping down, draping on the counter, scooting out further

from a dress (by useing the "inocent" slouch technque), cropped hi - leg crossings, hugging, touching, holding,

whispering sweet words sometimes to one who has more than a 20 years age difference. In some of the halls,

we almost never saw it; while at others it was "a constant feature" of their meetings! Some places we didn't

stay for long, as they were over sexed, publicly gross, and had no cognition of holiness in said "place of worship!"

What is difference between Black Congregations and White Congregations

i'm from south los angeles and been to black congregations all my life, but i moved 70-75 miles north from where i grew up.

i just want to know the difference ..

Black Cong's are the best to be in no matter what face you are. Latino and Asian, can be a little better

or worse depending on the elder/publisher's view on western culture vs. applied Biblical love.

Average white Congo's are from mediocre to nightmarish cliques! Yet, the very worst Congo our family

knows about was Black/White/Latin mix. Things seemed normal and harmonious for three decades,

with the usual brow beating and markings of many Congo's. That all changed in less than two years,

when three divorced black bros. increased their attendance there. A black elder, who in the 70's was

a "Black Panther" vowed to help then overcome immorality, and to gain privileges. Another black elder,

married to a white; encouraged them to also marry white brides. (My family doesn't have a problem

with this, but in a minute you'll see what this was about!) While in the posses of white washing these

"up and coming" men, the Cong. got washed of whites! A lot of things were done to the Caucasians

resulting in squeezing them out of small duties, and rarelly being invited to "get to gethers". Then two

white elders left, at least three assisting white families moved away, and half of Latinos quit. The last we've

heard; the black elders are still having their pool and liquor nights, while the white wives roam the strip malls.

Terrible Analogy at a Convention

brother jackson (from the governing body) had this "neat" analogy at the very end of the convention.

he said; "what if you were watching a football game on tv, and it was the trojans against the fighting irish, and it's been a good game.

Billy; my family loves your sense of humor! The way you described WT theology fits them to a tee.

It also reminds me of sci-fi shows where people are trapped in a 'time-loop'.

the older i get, the more i see that the collective intelligence of people isn't too high.

i lump myself in on that.. when i first left, i was so conflicted.

do i try to help others by bringing down the wtbts?

It was nice reading about you Jeff. I had only gotten bits and pieces of your story

from your funny comments, or words of encouragement to others like us.

It's good to know that theres people like you, and some of the other posters out there.

We all once knew the lie as "the truth" and practiced it. Know the WT is starting to look like the idiot!

That's why we're here, to help others see that by explaining how the Society's practices are bad.

I have a question on the Circuit Accounts Scam thread

i didn't want it to get buried and i'd really like to know.. so i knew pretty much what he was saying was true, but what i don't get is how the creative accounting works.. i mean you have to show expenses on the ledger - and i mean real expenses, like the co/do expenses along with receipts.. you have actual costs for the power coming into the building.

the paper supplies and cleaning supplies.

the vacuum cleaners and mops and other sundry items, and you have to have receipts for all that.. i also know that when you made a "donation" it was off the books at the circuit level as far as accounts were concerned.. but how is money not being accounted for?.

It's a stagged tactic of manipulation described as; Announcement Folly's,

were a speaker states the dire accounts report and end with a cherry salutation

of "Jehovah's blessing for your charitable donations." It happened at all the assy's

my family went to, and at of them a larger amount was in it by next assy! At first ,

we thought: "Wow, God's spirit is on the org! or Wow, God must have made a bro. a millionaire!"

After some years we counted them, 1 out of all the circuits we knew, and very few rich ones.

So by the accounts numbers being magically manipulated through slick sales techniques

from premature announcements, 'well-ah! The flock is scammed, sheared, and discarded until the next assy.

i read the ray franz book but witnesses just see the scripture about going "house to house".

how would you help a witness understand the reality?.

Right; so if we love God, each other and others we'll be a truer from

of worship than the WTB&TS. They have proved to love themselves,

the boy's club, and pedophiles, just to mention a few. H to H was Jesus

Parallels to The Borg in movies?

hope y'all don't mind if i ghost write this post for my husband.... i recently let my friend borrow my copy of the movie "the island".

for those who haven't seen it, the plot takes place in a futuristic setting in los angeles where science has perfected human cloning.

the latest rage in medicine is to have a clone made and maintained for you should you ever need it for organ transplants.

My focus on "The Village" was:

1) that they were living in the past,

2) the leaders had changed the dates of their generation,

3) they were teaching from out dated books,

4) their community was isolated from the outside world, and

5) any thing that compromised their beliefs newer made it over

the walls to the young people that grew up there.

That's right. The fact that it is transparent to us, proves that it exists. And if it exits,

then there will be many who go no further than the veneer. It's like "the image of the Beast",

it exits as a powerful concept. So the two are "both tools of Satan", one is "the kings of the earth"

the other is "Babylon the Great." WT illustrations have always been great, and so has been their religious illusion.

they understand the power of organization.

they demonstrate that no matter how ridiculous your message and how much the facts don't support your position you can still accomplish a lot if you are organized.

That's right! When the see us in public they say: "You guys look great! What have you been doing?

Were do you go now?" We say: "Were ever we want!" They get a dumb founded look on their faces

and stop asking questions. Their probably thinking: "Why am I so miserable in such a 'happy organization'?"

That's why some in our family (all are exjw's), still talk about the Bible to co-workers, business partners,

and the cashiers and managers of the stores that the shop at; but don't go d2d trying to sell religion's creeds.
