  QFR: "Warning - memorial partakers might be loonies!"

  as part of my objective analysis of four month's worth of watchtower study editions from july to october 2011, i found the following gem from a question from readers, on page 22 of the august 15 magazine.

  the question under discussion was "how are we to understand the figures in the annual service report?

  ", and it goes on to provide an idiot's guide to what the figures mean, including the following.... "memorial partakers.

  Once again; OUTLAW makes a good point in truism style!

  WT's publishing campaign mostly draws in vulnerable people,

  but after a few years they get worse! Some pick up the

  judgmental trait that's there, and start questioning all things.

  While others learn supposed "piety", and get the sense that

  they are cleaner than the rest of the congregation. Either way;

  both groups are disliked by the cong., as they outshine the clique.

  The former wakes up and leaves, the latter get dreamy and partakes.

  The awakened one can't take the abuse, and the said "anointed"

  ones endures it as "tribulation from within the congregation"!

  Society tells us to stop asking questions...

  i was just glancing at the back of the october 15th watchtower and the questions from readers.

  the question under discussion is "what should i do when i have a question about something i read in the bible or when i need advice about a personal problem?".

  the article goes on to discuss how we should consult the watch tower publications index among the many 'tools' that have been provided by the faithful and discreet slave whenever we have a question that is not directly discussed in the publications.. one statement really caught my eye, because it's the first time i've ever seen the society actually dissuade people from writing in with questions.

  I remember when our family read that article; shock and anger!

  We knew this was just another put off, because we've had dealings like this when calling questions in to NY, Bethel.

  Every thing has to be written down and read by wrote; if there's any inconsistencies, people will write them again!

  Never mind the fact that someone is in desperate need to fix a problem causing "tribulations"; just "pray, and tell your elders"!

  Guess what? The Bible commands us to help one another, apparently God is talking to the flock.

  Because no pretend GB, or elders are going to lift a pharisee finger!

  Since WT already has too many people at HQ to worry about, and the local BOE have meetings to prepare for.

  There's still a few good ones left in the org and they need to "get out of her soon my people!"

  Did YOU Feel Abused By The Elders?

  i know some here have said they pretty much hated the elders.

  did you personally feel the elders were abusive men?.

  At this one hall, the elders were often abusive to mixed families.

  Sisters with unbelieving husbands knew they would be relegated to nothingness;

  last in FS group, no parts, no invites. When their husbands came to Memorials,

  the elders would meet them in the dark parking lots afterwards, and ball them out!

  Almost ten publishers won't talk to the elders and have to speak to each other for help,

  the elders want you to give them their names! A lot of this happens at other halls as well.

  discovered in our own milky way galaxy.. an international team of astronomers led by swinburne university of technology in australia spotted the exotic planet racing.

  and posted I was going and willing to meet local xJW's, and it's always been great.
  
  Have a great time in King's Canyon! AKA Sequoia National Park, CA.

  Myself, A.B. & my Partner are going two week ends later; from Sept. 5-10

  We'll be in most of south-central CA, once or twice during the trip.

  Greatings Dagney & friends in crime! We're around the ages of 55,

  and our kids around 30 are married and are working on these days.

  We fit in best with the middle age crowd, though get along with most groups.

  We're not big on aposta beach parties, but we do drink.

  We continue worshiping God, and following the scriptures, yet can laugh a lot

  and be easy going with other peoples choices. Arriving in San Diego, Sept. 5.

  Driving along the coast looking for whale watching, and swimming sites.

  Site seeing through LA, to Sequoia Park. Site seeing trough Fresno to Yosemite Park.

  The exact days in between are flexible, so you guys can help plan for meet up times.

  By Sept. 10 fly out of LA, Our family are in the tri-state region of, In, Oh, and Mi;

  But, isn't it a "Wicked System of Things?"

  i am not a jw but one thing that they really get me on is when they call the outside world a "wicked system of things" and say it is run by the devil.

  i know the world can be great and people can be wonderful but on the flip side, the bad seems to be getting worse and morals seem to be flying out the window.

  i don't know, what do you guys think?

  Oh yes; this world is so wicked. It just keeps going form bad to worse!

  The increase of false prophets, new misleading religious teachings, more abusive cults,

  religious organizations turning into sales corporations, new harlots ridding the wild beast,

  pedophilia exposed in the churches, and on, and on, and on!

  Yep; the Society did warn us about the world.

  But they also hid from us the fact that they are a discussing thing to Jehovah!
