it happened to one of my friends.
what do you think of the guy's behavior?.
a girl and a guy are coworkers.
People with no religious scruples also have places (things) where they draw the line.
I wager many atheists would have an affair with a married person but not want a tattoo. So what?
This man may claim that it is "against his religion" to get a tattoo but the reality is he doesnt want one. He could just as easily blame his mother or an allergy to dye used in tattoos.
both reopened mind and i are now in our early 60's and it seems our conversations lately have been on putting everything up for sale and buying a rv and travel until we can't anymore.
it has been a dream of ours for along time to see all the site's in the u.s. and canada.
we feel we could make money as we go by selling and teaching using herbs and gardening.
I like EndofMysteries advice. You can have your cake and eat it too.

Maybe this will help you...

I actually follow their travels. On the website you can find out how they got started, their financial advice, how to make money etc...
I say you should go for it!
the annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.
"at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.
all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".
What if the "change" is that more and more things will be broadcast instead of happening live?
also, for years we have heard rumors of seeing less of C.O.s and they have flat out gotten rid of D.O.s, so what if the big change is that we will have local brothers serving as C.O.s?
Another change they need to make (so this probably wont happen...) is to remove all judicial responsibilities from local elders and have a centralized group of well trained elders handle everything. That would be all they did. Just like regular courts.
They could use the elders already on the appeal committees list.
jws look down on others for saying, "bless you" if someone sneezes.
it has something to do with the demons.
another example is that it is considered satanic if a man took his hat off for a lady!
The idea that people who underline their Watchtower are more spiritual than people who dont.
so, what is the discipline, if any for a blood transfusion?.
I heard that it has changed in the latest elders manual adjustments but I am not clear on what exactly the specific change is.
it will be interesting to see how things play out...but one example which got me to thinking about this is my mother.
my mom is a 76 year old regular pioneer (she is one of those who believes that you are "nothing" if you are not a pioneer...the position is everything)-.
i am moving in two weeks to go to grad school, so i have been trying to go out to visit...say goodbye...do things for her before i leave.
If JW leadership is at all calculating they will not let go of the seniors.
Think about it...how many younger (in their 50s. 40s and 30s) are barely sticking with the truth because of their elderly relatives?
So to keep that boat from rocking, there will be a plan to "help" these older ones.
What comes to mind first is letting younger pioneers count their time helping older ones with the internet. Not lessons on the computer but doing it for them....helping them study and research and counting THAT time.
A second idea is a user friendly app that helps older ones. Some one will invent it and the society will make money off of it.
if something terrible were to happen to the members of the current gb would you feel bad?.
Why would I? If they're right they're up there helping Jehovah run the universe. If they're full of it, they're getting what they deserve.
This.

Watching R rated movies = no matter what they are about
EXCEPT Schindlers List because that was considered historical
This one goes way back and I think its been let go now but anyone remember when you couldnt sign the card on your gift for a baby shower? That was considered to be "showy" and immodest.
