well, our sister congregation just had their co visit this past week.

on saturday afternoon, i was talking to a couple of ministerial servants in that congregation and they stated that an unmarried brother is not fulfilling to the max what jehovah wants of us.

they stated that the co went on a tirade that if you are unmarried you are being selfish and not following what jehovah wanted for mankind since he created eve as a compliment for the man.

that would also work to even out the ratio of men to women if the men are tied by all the ties that bind and the left over women feel they are giving God their all.....

really different ones such as islam, judaism, hinduism, etc.. has anyone here looked into something else?

has your spirituality been satisfied by any other than christianity?.

All I can figure is the question about feeling a strong affinity for nature...but I didnt mean that strong!

I put it down to me being in such a state of flux right now.

Being Org trained my entire life I have so much to learn about what I believe and what I think.

Today, Did Anyone Attend...

just out of curiosity, if you are in the united states, did any one of you attend a 4th of july parade today, where you live?

i attended the huntington beach fourth of july parade.

i've been attending that parade since about 1993. it's always fun to photograph the different celebrities who are in the parade.

I would attend if I could see the interesting things you get to there in California.

I live in a rural area not in California and there is no parade.

I have three really big dogs and they are all requesting to be inside however due to the fireworks booming outside.

Bombs bursting in air you might say.....

I think they closed rank on who the FDS was because the "remnant" scattered around the world were seen by the GB as getting entirely too full of themselves.

Little peon "anointed" in their own Halls and along the side ways and by ways were uttering their thoughts and regular publisher people were "ohhh" "ahhh" over it.

The change of the overlapping generation was an ideal time to just change the base of power also. Pull it back in to a straight up and down arena of control of 7 men in NYC.

Naturally, this has resulted in more disgruntled "anointed" ones round the world. Some of started websites critical of the GB in NYC but for the most part it is unimportant to the publishers it would seem.

As a young romantic teen, I wanted to join the Peace Corp. The closest option at the time? Became a pioneer instead.

I soaked up education and would have kept going forever if not for being in a religion that frowned on it. I would have loved to become a cultural anthropologist specializing in nutritional anthropology.

It fascinates me how we live and interact with our natural world and what has been and is used now to nurture our bodies, the elaborate rituals and taboos that have been constructed around that process and how it varies through time and place.
