within the first few minutes, mr. stewart asked geoffrey jackson if the members of the governing body consider themselves to be god's spokesperson on earth.. his response: "that would be presumptuous of us" (implying that they don't consider themselves to be god's sole channel of communication).. to me, that was the worst lie of about 26 lies he's told during this hearing.

however, mr. stewart missed an opportunity to call out mr. jackson on this bold-faced lie.

he should have asked him to explain why the watchtower magazine teaches otherwise.

Us, them, he, her.....blah, blah, blah.

The point is Jckson answered that would be presumptuous of US.

So all the equivocating and dancing around the plurality of the wording is ridiculous.

I wish there was a way to know if this is even a "real" experience or more like the ones given at the Regional Assemblies where things are more or less made up, or a combination of homogenized experiences to make a point.

Is Jackson embarrassed to be a JW?

i listened to the majority of jackson's part one testimony and it seems apparent to me that he either:1) is embarrassed to be a jw or 2) doesn't really believe.

i've heard countless times from the platform and in print that we should be proud to be jws and take every opportunity to defend our beliefs.

yet, it seems jackson didn't even want to admit that he believed he was being directly used by jehovah to lead the congregation as his spokesman.

Im not sure what the most recent wording of the baptism questions are but dont they indicate that the GB thinks it is Gods representative on earth?

Doesnt a representative speak for someone? Isnt that inherent in the word "representative"?

i have seen some ask on this site how the active jw's are handling what is happening in australia.

here is my little experience from last night........ my parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the great tribulation and live forever in paradise (even though they actively associate with all their df'ed kids).

my father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side.
