TV.JW.ORG (September 2015) - Generation explained again
by Designer Stubble inguess the overlapping generation concept is difficult for most to comprehend.
david spane does his best to explain it again.
the cutoff date for this generation has now moved to 1992 (was once 1935), the year that fred franz died.

So if Franz was born in 1892 he was anointed by 1914? For some reason I didnt realize he was so young.
I remember back in the 60s it was very frowned on for anyone young to think they were anointed.
That was the province of the older folks.

Do US JWs Still Knock on Doors?
by cultBgone inthis may sound like a silly question, but do jws even door-knock any more?
the few i know only speak of "manning the cart" at some public location, and because they get defensive if i even ask an innocent question like this i thought i'd ask it on the forum.
thanks!.

Have my beautiful blessing from jehovah
by Ghiagirl inas my husband always says sarcastically about our newborn son, how people contradict themselves.
well he is a blessing but he is also the reason you are being shunned and were run out of the organization because you had premarital sex.
my beautiful son is finally here, and who texts and calls us the day he is born??

Hes here!!!!!!!!
Congratulations! I remember when you were first posting and pregnant and going through so much family stuff.
Im not surprised to hear the family has surfaced. Babies change things.
The Org trys to instill that its rules for living are the most important thing. Reality is family is the most important thing.
We all instinctively know that. Your family is going through the clash of what they think they know and what they really intuitively know.
You said you would like to know how some of the rest of us get treated...I am not DFd but am fading. I do have one Dfd adult son.
Whats crazy is that in my die hard JW family they are splitting the vote on him.
At first they were all appalled and acted like he was dead.
Now that I am fading as well as my other adult children, some of the family are just throwing their hands up in the air (so to speak) and just accept him alongside me.
Its like the faders in the family are becoming some kind of bridge between the die hards and the DFs?
I know - its strange. I am still scratching my head too.

They've Exposed Their Hand
by OneFingerSalute inso the wtb&t$ have either intentionally or unwittingly exposed their hand in this mornings wt indoctrination article.. this is a direct quote from par.
"regardless of how long we have been in the truth, we must tell others about jehovah's organization.
" the question is, "what obligation does psalm 48: 12-14 place on us?".

I love your comments OFS.
I am so glad I am not sitting there because I know I would burst out laughing.
You are good!

Today's meeting & WT 7/2015 study "Work to enhance the spiritual paradise"
by Mrs. Eden inso, much against my inclination, i went to the meeting this sunday morning.
just starting to fade, but i needed to do it so that it doesn't look like my hubby turned my head during last week's vacations.
since i'm not just disappearing cold turkey, i went.

Your post is so current and so full of awareness about people and life and what is needed in the here and now.
All that talk about how much the JWs are helping the world is just a pacifier. They suck on it and stay passively soothed.
I love your thoughts Mrs. Eden!

Do you find it hard to be around active JW's now?
by EdenOne ini do - actually, it's become close to unbearable.. and herein lies the paradox: i tried to fade in the illusion that i might keep contact with family and friends still "in".
was it worth it?
because not only most of them shun me anyways, but i find it almost unbearable to be around them, especially when the cult chit chat kicks in: every cute animal video clip triggers endless comments about glimpses of the future paradise and how "god did it"; those greasy praises to the organization and the governing body; the dumb awe about every jw broadcast and those cheesy music videos; the endless drivel against other religions when one knows perfectly well that we're no better than them; the endless flow of "experiences" of field service or spectacular conversions into "the truth"; the relentless congregation gossip; and so on .... i ask myself: is this why i am fading for ...?

LisaRose
That's the problem with fading, you don't realise that you will change and grow when you leave, but your family and friends won't. Eventually you change so much you can't really have same kind of relationshipBoy is that ever true LisaRose. I am in the stage of discovery about that right now.

London Bethelites Are Agitated!
by The Searcher ina source has informed me that a relative who's in london bethel has said that a number of bethelites there are very uncomfortable and embarrassed because the branch has received "quite a few letters" querying why members of the governing body were wearing flashy rings and jewellery on some of the monthly broadcasts, but on the broadcast when the g.b.
asked for more money from the congregations - their gold and jewellery was not on display!.
will probably emerge one day wearing sackcloth, begging for yet more donations..

Thank you Searcher, you adorable little terrier you!
You are very gracious.

Ha Rebel, nice to see I am not the only one...
Over on the pro JW forum they are all talking about how much weight they gained at Pioneer School and all the good food.
Totally different from when Jesus said just a few things are needed?
But the words of Jesus take a second seat - egos are involved! There are points to score!
