hello friends!today is a sad day for me, as seven months have gone by since my mother passed away after a decades-long fight with breast cancer..

because the witnessing/preaching/teaching work doesn't make any sense to me anymore; because it's not about any "truth"; and because it's basically useless, i've decided to quit doing it.

instead, i've decided to do something that actually can make a real difference in other people's lives.

First of all hugs to you sweetie on the loss of your mom. It is hard coming up to that first anniversary.

But you have just done something that will have a tangible impact in honoring your mothers memory.

Very inspiring.

i just learned that my husband was in one of the dramas at this year's rc.

i have no idea which one.

the way that i found out is: while looking for a confirmation email for a plane trip we are making, i opened his account.

I would be freakin livid if something like that was kept from me...although, after reading the rest of the posts it doesnt sound like it was a drama of the type we are used to (where he would have come home as an Arab LOL) so I am guessing it is some kind of sound check rehearsal or such.

Did/does he work in a dept.?

jws apply the fulfillment of what jesus fold in mathew 13:24-30 in what they call the great apostasy of christendom.

here jesus was speaking in parable, hence application should be made in its essence.

jesus sowed the seed (which means he preached the truth), later when it was compiled, selfish writers sowed weeds (interpolated their own ideas), and it became one book where on cannot distinguish what is good seed and weed.

I love this thought Icon and it explains a lot of what is truly wrong in the modern day religion called "JWs".

I have a question though, if one was going to use this line of reasoning the inevitable rebuttal is going to be "All scripture is inspired and beneficial...."

So what are your thoughts in that regard?

ok heres latest at kh .i have a friend of mine who is df but trying to get reinstated i know you may ask why but its a free country anyway he is a frienldly chap and likes to say hello to old friends.

he does his hellos very discreetly not makeing a scene.

well the elders have noticed him saying hello to people at hall so they invited him in back room.

He doesnt care about reinstatment he cares about showing love

In that case, he did fine then...

If he cared about reinstatement he did not do ok.

More power to him if he just wants to ruffle the elders feathers - he did!

Reflecting on my Disfellowshipping

today is the day.. i was baptized as one of jehovah's witnesses on march 25th 1989.disfellowshipped for admitted apostasy today, september 10th 2015.. what an amazing story we all share.

how did we get involved with this group and think this was the best way of life?.

i asked my wife to stay home from the meeting tonight and spend the evening with me.she is.... we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this past monday.. i must admit, i never saw any of this coming, but it couldn't have come sooner.i'm free of all the fake friendships.

I was over at the pro JW site last night and they were bristling about this site...wondering HOW we can even have this site be named what it is....(gasp) LOL

Apparently they think they own the name they call God?

sorry folks. - you dont own the universe. Or God - or anything really - including your own Kingdom Halls

I dont know if they even own their trademark logo yet although I think I read they did manage at least that.

I am glad to see them bristle.....

bout time they had to think.

guess the overlapping generation concept is difficult for most to comprehend.

david spane does his best to explain it again.

the cutoff date for this generation has now moved to 1992 (was once 1935), the year that fred franz died.

It is my belief that the average "rank and file" wishes they would just drop it.

Just let them shrug it off and pretend its not there.

No thinking person is buying this and it makes people have to struggle with it each time they bring it up again.

I have a really good friend that reads there and has even posted his pics there. I love that he is getting some real truth and it doesnt have to come from me.
