Around minute 4 he talks about dogma and about the decisions made by the GB and also by branch members.
He mentions the faithful slave and "branch members again at 6.
As a matter of fact he mentions "branch overseers a couple more times after that. I think a total of 4 but it may be 5?
What the heck?

I just want to find new friends ^_^
by pureginseng0 inmy name is ji-seong lee and about jw life, it has been almost 11 years after baptism.. but researching about jw bad behavior, it was a real shock (including child abuse by elders).
but i think just keeping jw lifestyle is more comfortable than stopping it, because of my family.... i have mom, father, and one older sister, and my father was an elder (not now) and my sister is regular pioneer.. so it is just a challenge to quit my religion.. because i just love to make friends throughout the world, (nomatter what religion backgrond they have) i post this text and in the end of this you will find the kakaotalk id of me!!.
i am male and 1993 jan. born.

Blurring of genders
by Saltheart Foamfollower inas sometimes happens at elders meetings with the co, he has a letter from the branch to read out.
this rarely is made available later so any policies have to be acted on from memory.
this visit a letter was read about blurring of the genders and in particular brothers dressing in a metrosexual style - tight clothing was mentioned again.

Wow.
Thank you for telling us that Salt.
I am really floored by this.

For me the worst thing is not having a helper anymore
by John Aquila inone of the things that gave me confidence in life was that i believed i had the almighty creator/god watching over me, directing me, guiding my every step, protecting me from harm, and answering my prayers.
i now know that is not the case anymore.
i finally stopped praying.

So here....
I will throw an unpopular opinion in to the mix.
Why does prayer over food have to be about self?
A whole a lot of work went in to getting that food to you.
One of the plights on earth that you did not mention above is the farmer. They are one of the few people left in the richest country on earth that work beside their migrant workers to bring their product to the market. Between big commercial farms, lack of water in California (one of our biggest growers in the US) and good old Monsanto buying the rights to all the seed produced - farmers are a dying breed.
What about packers working in produce sheds, truckers who haul it people who own produce stands and sell it with pride?
Why cant a prayer be a moment of thanks and recognition that what is in front of us has required hard work? Why does it have to involve anything whatsoever to do with what the JWs taught us?
I am at work today (yes! on a sunday!) and dont have time to look for it but someone (?) once said that it is a poorer man who bows his head in thanks to nothing" (sic)
I am not offering this thought up as a disagreement really.
Its more like food for thought - pun intended!

what do you really believe
by Sabin inwhat do you really believe the percentage is for jw who are truly ignorant of what is going on behind closed doors of the w.t.
as opposed to those who actually know something is wrong & yet go along with it for whatever reason?
i have been asked for coffee by what i can only describe as one of the sweetest persons i have ever known & i cant even begin to conceive that she knows what is happening with the child abuse cases but then how do i know?

Before I went through something negative personally I was in the 90%.
It wasnt that I didnt know bad things were out there...I just thought they were trumped by all the good AND I had an automatic "excuse" in my head for it all based loosely on the nation of Israel and all the imperfect leaders and how Jehovah loved people who were faithfu in spite of it all.
Like the widow who gave the mite at the temple...if she was old and faithful, she had to know things werent right...Jesus was making it quite clear and there was a lot of buzz.
But she kept on keeping on "trusting in Jehovah".
So that was my mental defense.
The problem with it was I had NO one who could guarantee me that the Org. of today had anything whatsoever to do with the Jews or the temple or Jesus or even that widow.
Nothing except their word.
Which turned out to be as useless as Confederate money after the war.
And that was the one thing I had never thought about....they only have themselves to back up what they are saying.

Looking at the pics of Warwick... I'm chocked.
by StephaneLaliberte ini am truly chocked and baffled by the number of volunteers they got for this project; especially in the states.
looking at one of their articles on the matter, they stated that a large portion of the printing work was delegated to other locations than ny, thus, they did not need as much space as they did in ny.
also, it was stated that operation cost in nyc were expensive.

So true Scully!
I had to laugh about the no preaching whilst theyre away! woo hoo! yay!
just kidding, this person is pretty tactful actually
This person is a great worker and I care for them very much personally. We have been friends for over 30 years- since we were kids..
I would just wish for them a nice trip to a beach somewhere....but as mentioned above - this is what makes them happy
