Time Bandit you did a beautiful job of capturing the raw pure emotion involved.
Just wonderful.
this thing that was my mother.
this thing that was my mother, so withered and blackened now,.
was once so kind and loving, but things have changed somehow.. remember when you'd hold me, and soothe my childhood fears?.
Time Bandit you did a beautiful job of capturing the raw pure emotion involved.

so it has been a couple of months since me and my family have attended a meeting.
we have received a few calls and visits.
but what do you say when people ask "where have you been"?

bye... bye.... no more new printing presses for jw.org... the growth is so tremendous (irony...).. all printing work in europe will be arrange in the next month only in selters (germany), but no renovation or upgrading in printing presses is expected... it will be a full outsourcing :).
a worldly company axel s******* will be used.
this company is known to be printing bild newspaper... the interesting part of it is the logistics will be as well outsourced.

A reliable source who was working at London Bethel when Mark Sanderson made his visit and broadcast (was it 2015?) recounted this anecdote .
"Mark was asked whether printing had a future in the Society and he said that The Society was certainly not giving up on print. There is a great need for field ministry supplies and that will continue as far as we can see...."
Well at least we know now how far they can see ......
Even Hitler had a grandma!
Is that the idea azor?
I guess most people have degrees of what is crossing the line...even in prison, I hear that a child molester will fare worse than a murderer.
Degrees.
hello forum.
i started this topic because i had been thinking recently about a story that i had heard many times in different congregations over the years.
kind of a jw urban legend if you will.
This is a great topic TimeBandit.
I too have prayed for, waited on and looked toward heaven for answers to my communications.
The thing is, it is all highly subjective isnt it?
If a person makes it home from the assenbly safely - God gets the credit
IF they have a wreck and live, God gets praised for "saving them".
If they die..........well, no one is left to NOT praise God now is there?
a new video on jw org tv titled do not hold a grudge is presented by gb's oldest member gerrit losch.this is just another representation of the standard of talks prepared and given by the highest level of authority and position within the jw organization.
they desperately need help, not even their complete rebranding can save them from themselves.some of this gb member's gems about holding a grudge include -.
- what can lead to a grudge?
If you can stop holding a grudge talk to the person who has upset you or talk to a trusted friend. Don't talk to anyone else as it can cause divisions within the congregation or the family.
Explain exactly how talking to your friend of choice is different than talking to "anyone else"?
The whole idea that they can "allow" you one friend to talk to and order you not to talk to anyone else lest you cause division is ridiculous. It shows a poor understanding of human nature.
it was a shock despite us being divorced for over 40 years.
my son from that marriage phoned me with the news of sandra's death a couple of days ago, followed by my daughter.. sandra was one of 5 siblings.
the other 4 are still jw's.
Mrs Snuggles sounds like an amazing woman and Im glad you two have each other.
I am sorry for the loss you and your children have to go through and I am saddened that family members in this religion (any religion - but especially one who says it promotes love) are acting this way.
my best to you all.
well, thats it folks.. my identity on here has been rumbled and reported to the elders.
someone, somehow, has figured out that im a member of this site and - rather than speak to me - has promptly reported me to the elders.
i just feel sad for my daughter.

If she took pics of it on his computer that would probably be sufficient. That two witness rule gets pretty dodgy if conclusive proof is presented.
Excellent point Dub!
I should have read more carefully, the pictures makes a difference.
I guess the massive invasion of Pale Es privacy in all this is a moot point to the elders (and to the nosy Nellie sister in law).
had a great turn out today protesting against the baptist minister who praised the orlando massacre.
my best guess is there were around 1,200 of us there.
it was an entirely peaceful protest as we chanted "love conquers hate" and "we are orlando".
Very touching.
I saw this on the news and now I know someone who was actually there!
Thanks for sharing the pictures Coded.
Many things that people believe are ridiculous. People used to think that if a woman ate strawberries it could make a baby be born with a birthmark.
Ridiculous belief? Yes.
Ridicule the belief? Bad idea.
Why? For much the same reason as Londo mentioned above.
Another reason to show respect is because to not show it involves me judging the individuals who hold it.
It sounds good to say we wont/dont judge people, just beliefs but I find that not to be the way it works in real life.
At some point, if an individual chooses to stay with a belief deemed "wrong" the judging happens.
That is a slippery slope - judging another. It begins to effect who you are yourself and not in a good way.
