Does anyone know the curent understanding on Chess for JWs?

i seem to remember chess was frowned upon by some jws.

is this like the oral/anal sex policy?

just ignore it and hope it goes away...

My favourite JW books when I was a delusional.convert. Did you have any ?

did you have any favourite books by the society when you were in ?not that this book was my fav.

yet it was the first book i read learning about jw`s.

" from paradise lost to paradise regained " i know , it was designed for the young , however my mentor thought that since i had no understaning of the bible it was what i needed.

I also liked "The Commentary On James" but I dont think copies of that are easy to find anymore.

Topics not often discussed now

when i was a kid in the early 90's there always seemed to be a mention of how demons posessing people or how if you saw a demon or something supernatural occuring mearly calling jehovah's name would rid you of the situation.

rarely now a days do you hear anything of the sort.

that got me to thinking, what are some other topics the society has backed off of?

Glad to see the article said SOME JWs do not accept blood. That word "some" is probably pretty accurate.

My parents threw me away

i think of it every day.

i know so many of us have gone through this, but it sure hurts.

Others here are right. You are still valuable and worthy.

I have siblings who have disowned their own children over this issue. I am only the aunt but I will not disown them over a religion. People in the organization that do this are not following "organizational policy" they are interpeting it more harshly for themselves.

OR

the policy is "double tongued" in its presentation and enforcement.

Either way, how could it be smart of me to let such ambiguity define something so basic and essential as loving ones family?
