  I wish there was a way to know if this is even a "real" experience or more like the ones given at the Regional Assemblies where things are more or less made up, or a combination of homogenized experiences to make a point.

  Is Jackson embarrassed to be a JW?

  i listened to the majority of jackson's part one testimony and it seems apparent to me that he either:1) is embarrassed to be a jw or 2) doesn't really believe.

  i've heard countless times from the platform and in print that we should be proud to be jws and take every opportunity to defend our beliefs.

  yet, it seems jackson didn't even want to admit that he believed he was being directly used by jehovah to lead the congregation as his spokesman.

  millie210 - He did come across pompous and I love how when he was referring to a scripture, Mr. Stewart beat him to it. A few times during that exchange he gave the page number in the NWT and Stewart was already there. LOL - "worldly" educated people are also familiar with the Bible

  Im not sure what the most recent wording of the baptism questions are but dont they indicate that the GB thinks it is Gods representative on earth?

  Doesnt a representative speak for someone? Isnt that inherent in the word "representative"?

  i have seen some ask on this site how the active jw's are handling what is happening in australia.

  here is my little experience from last night........ my parents were baptized in the late 30's as children and have never faltered in their determination to survive the great tribulation and live forever in paradise (even though they actively associate with all their df'ed kids).

  my father is still actively serving as an elder and my mother has always been by his side.

  I would have kept quiet too at their age.

  I think Jackson is a pompous dirt bag but I think he came off incredibly well last night.

  I had hoped he wouldnt.

  I think he was pompous and believes 100% that he is Gods spokesman.

  I think he is extremely proud and full of himself.

  The way he would thank Stewart for his questions and compliment him on them being good questions was all very condescending.
