Thank you Rebel
CoCo, thank you for giving more detail on Leolaia. She seems rather legendary!
once upon a time i started a thread who is your favorite thinker and got many responses.
however revisiting that thread i noted we were to modest to name ourselves or fellow posters.
i therefore think we are either complete idiots, or modesty aside we should now name names, and restrict our answers to posters on the board.. so who on this board is your favorite thinker and why?.

Orphan crow has done so much research in the history and the blood issue. Her abilities amaze me.
There are many posted here I have a favouritism for. Many awesome posters
post off I arrive on this forum about the time leolaia left. I too wish she had a hankering to revisit the forum from time to time
Couldnt agree more. OrphanCrow is incredible and her researching skills are crazy, mad, good!
i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.
as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.
now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.
I was in my teens and baptized that year.
I am not there....
I am here!

Leolaia. Her synesthesia gave her a fantastic ability to memorize, research and write scholarly articles.
She is missed by those who knew her.
I arrived too late to know her.
I hear so many good things though, I am sorry I missed out.
Where did she go? Is she doing well? Anyone here keep in touch?

I think this thread is like potato chips.....you cant stop with just one!
I am often amazed at how succinctly Outlaw can express a lot with a little. That takes a great depth of thought.
Yes, he is amazingly funny but I am often astounded when he slams the point in like a home run.
I have learned that the hardest things are the ones that appear effortless. Thats him.
To be able to do it with such humor is the icing on the cake.

TIming is amazing but I was going to say Giordano...
I like the way he makes us realize like doesnt have to be a struggle. As a new poster with a JW mentality, he helped me to see a new way of looking at leaving.
Classy guy.
just been thinking about the "persecution" video where the modern day "job" loses everything.
here's an alternative narrative.. instead of turning down the salary job in the next town over, our hero takes the job even though it's a tough commute.
he is still able to contribute in a meaningful way to his "ministry.
Even when I was a full in Witness I used to have opinions on this that were exactly like the ones above.
Like the pioneer sister who drives around on bald tires and then when she has a flat, blames Satan.
i'm in a great place mentally and spiritually in my life right now.
i just wanted to share.
because i know many of you are new and have just left the borg and well there are some tough times ahead but i want to assure you you can get through this and come out the other side much happier and more at peace.. i'm 44. got baptized at 18. was a convert not a born in.

I felt exactly the same. I am glad you have come to term with all this and have moved on in your life, I think you are doing very well.
People can argue all day about the existence of God (and do, especially here, lol) but the reality we all deal with is the here and now. This moment, this day, is all we have right now and all we ever have. So get excited about your life and live it to the fullest. Find something that you feel passionate about and do it. Make the world a better place in some way. Create art, help out the less fortunate, right a wrong, improve the earth, create good human beings.
This is just absolutely beautiful LisaRose.

I glad you have found your "true north" internally once again Free!
You make a powerful statement as to the individualized journey we are all on.
Thank you for sharing yours.
did anyone experience a disassociation announcement during the public meeting instead during the service meeting?.
in my case it was announced the next day that we submitted our letter and this was on sunday instead of waiting for the service meeting on thursday..
Hi Paul,
Another example of them not either knowing or being unwilling to follow their own rules.
Those announcements are not to be made at public meetings.
They are also not to be made during a C.O.s visit.
