I really do need to go back to college.... already been there, but didn't finish the degree course, as was pressure to pioneer and window clean.... I decided to go with it and gave it a real go, but the elders kept hindering my ministry (!?!) ... half a degree is probably worse than nothing, because whenever I send anyone my CV, they never reply.... I quit a degree course that was government funded to clean windows.... not impressive... and cleaning windows doesn't provide enough money to pay the heating bills, etc., let alone college. I am looking beyond window cleaning now, for other options, focussing on what I know, what skills I may have.

Great advice guys :)
Read "apostate" websites lots, and Crisis of Conscience, and didn't find that to be the demonic, promotion of moral depravity as claimed, but just rather ordinary comments; read similar thoughts to some that I had wondered, or that people had mentioned on the ministry. Just something about reading it from other people, and see their thoughts. Not that my family understand and if I share my thoughts with them; they will have to disown me :(Got my own flat :) Thrown out of home after the second judicial committee. Been twice, but not disfellowshipped :/ A guy tried to rape me once (worldly guy; think what made me want the new world so much), but the judicial committee and elders abuse messed me up more! It really messed with my mind because God is said to be directing it, and it's just a shambles.

JW loses malpractice suit over a blood transfusion.
by behemot ina jehovah's witness has lost a malpractice suit over a blood transfusion.. .
she survived and sued, claiming medical malpractice.. .
the new york trial court dismissed the case, holding there is no precedent for finding medical malpractice when a blood transfusion was the proximate case of saving a live -- regardless if the patient may be offended or even emotionally distressed by the hospital's actions, which in this case were inconsistent with her religious beliefs.. mat staver, dean of liberty university's school of law and founder of orlando-based liberty counsel, takes issue with the ruling.. .

Sir82, tou made a fascinating comment that fits nicely with thoughts flying around my head I think most Jehovah's Witnesses have some kind of mental issue that makes them want to be in a system.
And the 7 million JWs of today, being of a certain mental & emotional disposition, would belong to other (non-JW) high control groups and/or cults.
There are 10's or even 100's of millions of people who function best under authoritarian constructs. JWs have a significant market share of such individuals, but by no means have the market cornered.
I see similarities with this - the protecting of the abuser; how JWs praise the Governing Body whatever it does, lying to cover what may cause a 'bad witness':
Jaycee Lee Dugard was abducted at age 11 by Phillip and Nancy Garrido at a school bus stop in 1991 and was imprisoned at their residence for 18 years. In August 2009, Phillip brought Nancy and Jaycee (who was living under the alias "Allissa") along with two girls that Garrido fathered with Jaycee during her captivity, to be questioned by Garrido's parole officer after he noticed some suspicious behavior. She did not reveal her identity when she was questioned alone. Instead, she told investigators she was a battered wife from Minnesota who was hiding from her abusive husband, and described Garrido as a "great person" who was "good with her kids". Dugard has since admitted to forming an emotional bond with Garrido with great guilt and regret.

The scary thing is that all these child abuse scandals are just not heard of within the organisation, but meanwhile bro criticise the church for their weirdos while on the ministry as if no JW has even been arrested for such crimes

I didn't like that congregation much or stay long.... they were very wealthy, but not generous... they expected me to pioneer though; the only other pioneers were a few elderly ones who were on allowances of an hour, etc. ...very frail; was sad..... but the thing that really didn't make sense was that they had lots of dinner parties, congregation barbecues, etc..... but poor pioneer boy was invited, because well, he didn't even have the fuel to some park they had driven out to etc.... I'd hear about it at the next meeting, and strangely, they'd all be telling me how nice it was.
I didn't really like the rich guys.... not that I was against the nice cars, and I like the suits.... but it was a bit weird when they patted me on the back for pioneering. Their lads were often a bit odd as well. One time, most had left the hall, and one lad had to lock up. An elderly bro gave some others a lift down the road (he was a nice chap, not wealthy like the rest so didn't quite fit in), and his elderly frail wife waited in the hall. Well, the rich lads couldn't wait to get down the pub, so they quite vocally made it clear that they had decided to leave the hall for the brother to lock up, so into their fancy cars they got, laughing at me for staying behind and drove off. The brother came back a few minutes later, quiet, surprised, but very thankful that I waited. It really struck me; at the time I was not a ministerial servant, but they were, supposedly appointed by the holy spirit. Things like that build up, make you wonder, and being told it's imperfection doesn't help. Everything is imperfection!
Later some girls started pioneering. There was a freaky exception, when I went on the ministry with a wealthy sister, and went in her car, but she tried to give me fuel money.... she seemed keen that I get to know her daughter, but I'd started to find doubts hard to keep down, and even if she was rich and cute, don't want a Witness wife pressuring me to do lots of ministry and be an elder

I remember that a few days before, a meeting being cancelled because the 'Presiding Overseer's' (Yes, COBE now) wife wanted a walk and picnic in the forest !!! WTF! I had invited interested people to the meeting! A few days notice, ok, but I had to work, do other return visits, etc., and oh, what am I going to say.... 'Hey, this meeting is so important; you so must come... yes, that's why we cancelled it for a picnic in the forest, and oh, you are not invited, and me neither!!'
