I fought the stairs and the stairs won...
by Trauma_Hound inif i seem out of it, for the next few days, it's because i fell down a flight of stairs, slipped on the carpeted stairs in my bare feet, and broke my tail bone, and split a toe open, and had to have stitches.
so i'm on heavey narcotics, and if you need to get ahold of me in any amount of time, then a phone call is the best bet.
ciao for now.

To the US Military
by freedom96 inthere have been many postings regarding the possible war with iraq.
there are many strong apposing views, as to be expected.. i personally am going to thank all those who are in the military; my hat is off to you, and i respect what you do, and i am very thankful.
you are the ones that must go out there and defend our freedoms.. i don't think most people desire war, but sometimes there seems to be little choice.

I support our soldiers, but don't support this war. Soldiers aren't making the decisions to go to war. However if someone attacked the US on US soil, then I would pick up arms also.

this is what is going on in the usa while it's citizens are being distracted by rumors of war.

Here's an educated guess as to why they didn't charge the guy... fear of a law suit by some liberal attorney who thinks that criminals have more rights than victims.
The DC sniper didn't start sniping people because of his association with the Military, but because of his association with Radical Islam in the US. That and the fact that he's a nut.
The example you show about the woman and the rape are Prime examples of criminals having more rights than victims.
Umm don't you think they give them more lawsuit fodder, without charging him? Come on, that makes absolutely no sense. Well considering the DC Sniper made seargent, how many years was he in the military? Again I think you don't understand there are bad cops, period, hell there's a cop right now, up for murder, for murdering his wife & her boyfriend. It's human nature. What is the rape victim a prime example of that?

The Police were right to stop this guy, to search this guy, and to then take him down when he resisted. Cops have to protect themselves, they had reasonable cause for the stop, they had reasonable cause for the seach (self protection). All they did was validated by the resistence of the idiot who ADMITS pulling and pointing the gun.
If they were right, then why didn't they charge him with a crime, it seems pretty fishy, that they didn't charge him. Usually the only reason they don't charge someone, is because they don't have enough evidence to convict them of a crime. Thusly why did they stop him in the first place. I've personaly seen a copy "beat down" a person, that was in coughs, was not resisting, and was on the ground.
I fear that many of you running around yelling about the violation of one "right" or another aren't the same folks willing to give your life in defense of those same rights. Work as a soldier or a cop for a few months and I think some of your opinions would change. There really is RIGHT and WRONG in the world, the guy grabbing the cops gun was WRONG! He shouldn't get off on a STUPID technicality.
Ya the DC sniper was a US Soldier, out of Ft. Lewis, Washington State, look what it taught him. LOL, You really seem deluded, that there can't possibly be bad cops, or bad soldiers. Again where is the proof in this case? He wasn't charged with anything, so it doesn't really give credence to what the cops say happened. BTW Someone on this thread already said they were a cop. I have a good friend that quit being a cop, because they made him stay back, while a woman got raped, instead of interfer, before the rape happened, because they wanted a good conviction. -

Poster desperately needs support and assistance
by refiners fire inthe jehovahs witness church took away all my ability to speak normally to, and to interact normally, with girls.
because of this i have an issue with sex and feel very sorry for myself, believing i have been deprived of a normal, sexually promiscuous, youth.
this has caused me much pain and suffering, and many sleepless and unhappy lonely nights in my life.

sister can email me to let me know if a employer calls, so i can drive over and find out what's up from there.. i work at wal-mart and alot of us have our hours cut to 20+ hrs a week, so this is hurting me fianacially.. job hunts is hard since i am deaf since most employers seems to prefer hiring a hearing person.. i know of a deaf friend who is unemployed and he went thru 20 job interviews in a month.
none of them ever called or emailed him to say he got a job.. family can't help since they all have their own problems to deal with.. i can post all the info you need if anyone needs it, such as my landlord's address and my morgage address if anyone wants to mail a check directly to them.

Half of the people I have spoken to outside of the internet have told me 2 things, banks have the power to have me thrown out in 3 days and the law backs them up. They can have the court and the police come and remove me.
Have those people prove it, they can't throw you out without a court order period, you really think they can get a court order in 3 days? Hello! I don't know about you, but I think anyone can attest, the wheels of the court system, simply do not work that fast. Why don't you contact one of the local tenant unions. And look up the laws yourself, it took me two seconds to search for info about indiana on the net. http://www.google.com "Indiana Tenant Laws", you don't seem to be helping yourself very well.

Considering most states have laws about eviction, meaning they need a court order to do it, you have more then 3 days. Forclosures also take much longer than 3 days. Go give plasma, they pay you to give plasma. Plus it would cost your landlord more money to evict you then taking small ammounts of the 179 dollars.

My question would be, wouldn't this be illegal under the Americans with Disabilities Act?
