They stopped charging for parking back when they went to donations in the US in the 1990s.

District Assembly Vehicle Parking Passes: $5.00
by Calebs Airplane ini've been out for a few years now, but when i was in, we frequently had to purchase "vehicle parking passes" several weeks before the start of our district assembly (depending on the coliseum or stadium being rented at the time).
it was usually $5.00 and you were given a 10" x 4" (or so) card with the assembly title/theme printed on.
according to the instructions from a branch letter that was read out loud (usually at the end of the service meeting), this card had to be placed on the right side of your dashboard such that the dub parking attendants can easily see it as you drive through the parking entrance.

Surely by now the cumulative number of partakers since the 1800's has exceeded 144,000. I only read the info the JW org because my 14 year old son is being taught this crap by his mother and her family. I have been waiting for this number for a few months and to be honest it PISSES ME OFF!

00Dad..the terms judicial hearing, disfellowshipping and reinstatement are not even in the Bible. The process is not described in the Bible. You cannot point to any scriptures or passages that outline from start to finish the process.
It a process contrived and perpetuated by men. Show me otherwise.

....and a new wrinkle
by outsmartthesystem inso i was giving my daughter a hug at bed time last night.
she stands up at the foot of her bed and wraps her arms around my neck.
she then asks why i don't serve jehovah anymore.

You gotta let it ride and let kids do what they do. My 13 year old son got baptized at the DC. No one consulted with me or asked me. At the last minute I was informed of his decision. I had not been to a meeting in a year but I went to the DC to see the baptism. I saw him before the baptism and he was happy that I was there. I simply told him that I was happy for him and that I would support him in all that he did that was productive and legal.
He spent the last six weeks with me. He loves rap music and loves violent movies just like me. And we both LOVE team USA at the Olympics. I just smiled inside and said his time for his real decision will come, I will just be myself with him and be real with him
That really is the best way. Give your children the same courtesy as that was given you. Let them decide for themselves.

Whatever he was doing he did not use a single Scripture to support it...and that's the problem. He was expressing his own opinion as a war veteran.

The writing process at WT begins with researching and reading what has already been written in the past about the subject. Makes some changes, add some new stats and stories and poof! New light!

Do COs have a cushy life?
by A question indo cos (and dos) have a cushy life in comparison with other jws, or others in fulltime service?.
it could be said that they do, since they have an apartment provided for them, meals out, green handshakes, and invites to social gatherings.
it could also be said that they do not, since they may have to live in a different house every week, accept whatever food they're given, and they have a lot more meetings than the average jw.. .

There On Memorial Night When One of the Governing Body Was Attending?
by Broken Promises in.
just wondering if anyone ever actually saw any of the gb members partaking of the emblems?.

Yes I did. Back in the late 1980s I attended the Memorial in Brooklyn Heights...several of the GB 1.0 were there. They are all gone now.
