well, obviously we english don't qualify on that score as we simply do not have any accent whatsoever.. but i do like the mid to south us accent, it's very warm and hospitable.
i'm not too keen on the accent of the eastern europeans, it seems harsh and bombastic.

Since I'm tri-lingual, I love all kinds of accents. When I moved to Boston from Upstate NY it took me a while to get down all the lingo. Now, everyone says I talk like a native New Englander.
Of course, I love all those European accents, too! Can't forget those Canadians, "eh"? I love any accent that it from somewhere else in the world. After all, that's what makes life interesting.

I saw her TV special the other night. The special reminded me of those elaborate costume shows of the 60's, when I was a kid. (I used to pretend I was Cher with her glittery costumes and long hair.)
I heard all of her concerts are sold out in Las Vegas. I don't own any of her CD's but if someone gave me tickets I would go. The acoustics in that theater sounded great on TV.

i have always been curious how famous people act in "real life.
i just finished reading several posts about larry graham and prince, and how people perceived them before and after meeting them, and that led me to my question here.. i have a couple of close friends that are either in the entertainment industry or know those who are in, and i get to hear stories about these people, and i love hearing how kind a person really is that i have listened to their music or watched them on the screen.
been disappointed by a few, but i suppose that is human nature.. so, what famous person have you met or know personally, and what were they like?
During the 80's, I got to attend the Celtic's Basketball team celebration dinner at the Ritz Carlton in Boston. (When they won their championship) I was very nervous and inexperienced with all this posh and glamour. The then owner of the team, Red Auerbach came over towards me and introduced himself. I'll never forget how he made me feel comfortable and how he made me laugh. He was truly a gentleman.

since strike9 doesn't have a help section maybe someone could explain to me how it all works.. can anyone help me, please?
Thanks for all your helpful hints and assistance. My sister will be over sometime today, to help me get the photo up. I have an idea how to do it with all of your help, but I want to make sure I do it right.

I don't have a scanner. But with the help of my brother, he downloaded my photo into the my computer's files. I don't know how to get it from there to this site. Thanks TR for replying so quickly.

i've just found out that my application for volunteering in ghana has been accepted!!
i can't tell you how much i'm really looking forward to this challenge.. i've recently moved to london in the hope that i would be able to pick up some project work in the 3rd world country.
i registered with www.workingabroad.com who fitted out my profile with 80 prospects of ngo's i could apply with, and was successful with applications in mexico, india and ghana.
