So, in the last two weeks, I have had 3 cousins drop me from FB and one childhood friend...all 4 of which we have had little association or face-to-face time in 30 years but at least we stayed in touch. So, I am wondering if there was a new big push on Facebook...I know they have from time to time but anything recent? Maybe the convention?

I mentioned Franz's writtings to a relative. She then told a long time Bethelite of what I said. Their answer to her was not to refute what he said but to tell her what a haughty man he was. So, I guess if you can't defend, you attack! I believe any of these GBs or long time bethelites have NO idea of what life is like in the real world...they never had to struggle the way the rest of us do.

by oompa ingod bless the usa song by lee greenwood...is making little kids sing a bieber love song instead lmao...baby baby baby....and it is a very long segment with lee himself making good points about the idiot jw as did the mom of a kid the jw lady principle bitch slapped for singing the song...that is not literal all you pc sensitive types out there.....oompa.

Wow...even as an active JW I couldn't have supported what she did....I always told people that we want others to respect OUR beliefs and we do that by respecting OTHERS beliefs. As principal, she has no obligation to censor what the other teachers or students are doing...this is very aggravating considering how we raised our children even as JWs...she does not do them any justice whatsoever. Sort of like being a postmaster and refusing to sell flag stamps! I would have to think she is one of those uber self-righteous types that are very full of herself! Ultimately...a moron....probably be a big full featured personal experience article one of these days after she gets fired or something about how she would bend her principals..."a pun intended!" ark ark ark....

by mind blown inas a little child i used to have horrible, horrible nightmares do to all the satan/ demon and big a talk.
i was also horrified of the dark for the same reason.

How many here smoke?
by cantleave ini don't and am very unlikely to after seeing my father dying of a smoking related lung disease (even though i would like to try a high quality cigar).. but i am curious to see how many people take up smoking after leaving the org.. .

Well, if there is one thing good that comes out of being a JW it is not smoking. My mother died of lung cancer, so did my father, and my wife's mother. So, no thank you. Dirty habit in my opinion and I could never be with a woman that did smoke...just me mind you.

What are "Super Friends" in JW speak?

can someone explain what it might mean?.
my jw acquaintance refers to her fellow jw's as her "best friends" presumably to differentiate jw's from her non-jw acquaintances.

I think whoever wrote this was drinking or tripping! Sorry this is nonsense and drivel...at least in my sole, humble opinion. If there is any sort of afterlife, we are never going to know till we are dead. If there is any sort of resurrection...we are never going to know till we are dead. If niether exists, we will probably never know and will just stay dead with our atoms returned to the universe. Have very many people close to you die, and you will come to this conclusion as well...a great deal of faith goes out the window when you stare down at a corpse. Sorry...don't mean to be negative but facts are facts everything else is PURE conjecture!

I listened to a JW service today and there was 1 minute about the person that died and 40 minutes of sermon. Since I had to attend another recently, it was no different than the last. My kids agreed...why can't they talk more about the PERSON...their life. It was a madlib introduction: Name a dead person. How old are they? What cong. did they go to? Where did they work? Surviving family? Ok, preach the hell out of them now! That was all it was. Very disappointing. I have been to dinners where the person is talk about, remembered, funny stories...this made everyone feel good and remember the person. This is how I want my family to remember me...with humor and good times....not promised of the future that we never know will come and don't really help when you have lost a loved one...ask someone that is honest and they will tell you that all the promises of paradise mean nothing when your mate has died!
