  my "still in" parents are with me and my inactive sister having a pleasant conversation.

  Sorry to read this Billy... my divorce (unbiblical), and my fading from the so-called "truth" came to the point of suicide for me too. 3 days of planning, and one "worldly" neighbor that called 911 which landed me to the psych ward, where even the docs were surprised I was alive.
  
  Just saying that this story could be mine... and that I am extremely empathetic to your feelings.

  I lived over 13 years in the South of France, and my JW mom and sis still lives there.
  I can ask...
  
  They live in Fréjus; between Cannes and St. tropez. An hour and a half from Italy...
  
  It's a good date to actually find something. However, it's winter and although usually sunny, it's can get a little chilly.

  sometimes we waste hours and hours debating a subject like the flood, and the impossible scientific and evolutionary consequences that it entails.

  we go into great debates about how all of is is possible, what a "kind" means (species, obviously not)... etc.... but believers will not stop believing... so here is something even a child would think of more logically:if god is all powerful and love why would he have not just made the wicked drop dead, painlessly?

  simply, humanly.

  In short, Jehovah uses the most horrid and tortuous ways to punish his enemies. He can clearly do otherwise.
  
  He is a self-proclaimed jealous and vengeful god... bearing the same characteristics than the barbaric men who created him, with their illogical and cruel writings.
