I guess a question to ask now is
would the gospel of Mathew's Jesus have accepted an olive branch from the gospel of John's Jesus? I don't think so but I could be wrong. Not being sarcastic or troublemaking as this is a genuine question that i was posing to myself. NO was the reply I received, the gospels' Jesus is himself divided and I guess this is a good thing.

hey the searcher - just to explain in case you were wondering. In post 1055 I was simply following through on the implications your question raised and taking those implications all the way to the ambivalent position of the WTS rather than being sarcastic as such.
please come back to your thread - it is a good one

Greetings from a new member
by EdenOne ingreetings everyone.. just wanted to say hello to everyone, being a new member from western europe.. some may know me from another forum (eden, from e-jehovas-witnesses.com), but most don't, so this is my little intro.. male, in my early 40's.
still an active member in good standing of a jehovah's witnesses congregation in my country, and honestly not planning to change that status, despite my unorthodox beliefs.
sometime i will elaborate the reason why i don't feel i must leave.

I have strong JWs in my family, my husband included and they are the reason I tend to toe the line as far as possible. I love them very much and honestly believe they need input like mine more than I need them. It would be even better if they read sites like this one, cedars and yours, juan viejo's and others. but perhaps in time they will

was reading your site this morning, eden - I enjoyed the article about redemption
regarding what you said in your post above
However, I feel it's my duty (and in a certain way, my ministry), to share with others what I find in my Bible studies.
I often feel like this but only speak out for humanitarian reasons when I want to do something to create a little space for people who may be trapped inside myths that deny them basic humanity and when I do so I try always to make this clear. Perhaps this is the reason I have survived so long
On the other hand I do often remain quiet as I reason that human suffering is often a springboard for change.

Follow their example by asking yourself questions, such as;
1. I'm counselled and direct by the Organisation to go out in Field Service as often as I can, to discuss my Bible-based beliefs with people who are in "false" religions, so why does the same Organisation prohibit me from doing the exact same thing with my brothers & sisters? (Kingdom Ministry - Sept. 2007 - Question Box, p.3)
this is a good question and suggests that the Organisation is not interested in encouraging noble-mindedness amongst Jehovahs witnesses as they have found that noble mindedness and committment are at odds.
