to tell you the truth, lime, john Cedars doesn't really sound British. he has always sounded like a guy who is assuming britishness for the purpose of fading.

i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

I've been looking at the timeline and i think the above prolly happened to my friend too because AAWA appeared on his facebook page a few days before the 1000 were added.
no damage has been done but yes it was a near miss.
Plus there is spin and then there is spin. What cedars has written on the AAWA page is a good lesson in self esteem building and in not allowing mistakes and negativity to get one down so low that one cannot get up. In a balanced way he also addressed all of the issues (mine anyway) in an honest manner and did not employ the sort of spin the WT uses.

I fully support what may result from AAWA raising awareness about the WTS
the four issues that the wts may be forced to reform as a byproduct of public outcry
the mishandling of child abuse and domestic violence
thirdly, shunning
And lastly the blood issue
but there is a huge resource available from faders and from Jehovah's witnesses themselves that AAWA may benefit from utilising. But they need to show that that they respect privacy. The rhetoric we have heard, which when used against WT is great, does not wash with those who have had their eyes opened.

If the 1000 were added to the "secret then open then secret" facebook group then I would suggest deleting the group itself and starting again from scratch. This would garner a huge vote of confidence in the boardmembers generally. (Although I haven't and don't intend to join myself as the group is too radical overall for me)
slimboyfat: amen re jwfacts. I have my doubts about Juan and cedars but am prepared to see this group heal and prosper because so many here agree with its mission.

Okay here's what i think - The guy with the Mexican hat (juan viejo) seems to be the most conservative radical on the board of aawa while at the other end we have cedars the most radical. I think I'd put danmera and bo Jensen quite close to cedars. Barbara Anderson and lady lee seem closer to cedars than juan so I think I'd put them both in the middle but left of centre along with Richard e Kelly. Can't place jwfacts yet, perhaps closer to Juan than the others? For me the board of aawa needs more people closer to juan.(edit:unless of course one or two board members act on their own and jeopardise the whole group).
but I still expect the existing board of members to put things right - perhaps as others have said by deleting the existing Facebook group and starting afresh. This would send out a message that the board cares about confidentiality and is prepared to take radical action against itself when necessary.
