  My Mom Is Dying

  i just wanted to say that my dear 89 year old mom is terminally ill and will soon pass.

  she is on morphine and hanging on.

  she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.

  Excellent story. Your example of family worship night being used to ask legitimate questions and your wife's refusal to hear them asked is true for all JW's. Her ratting you out also is true of JW's. My hubby did the same thing to me, called my family and the few friends I had to tell them of my sins. I was seriously pissed. It has effected our marriage, betrayal does that.

  i am really struggling with this particular situation in my life, and i really need your help to readjust my thinking.

  i am recently divorced from my ex-jw husband.

  we were both disfellowshipped at around the same time about 2-3years ago.

  Sounds to me like he was a control freak. He wanted you down and depressed, that way he could treat you whatever way he wanted and you would have to put up with it. He didn't feel the need to make any effort to please you and you were supposed to be happy with it, because he was the 'head', and you were to be the submissive wife.

  Now, he has started doing all the things you wanted to do, and he is still controlling you, you feel you can't move on due to his behavior. Of course he won't answer, he might not even realize he is doing it consciously. But you are still being submissive by letting him toy with your mind. Refuse to listen to what he is doing, it doesn't matter what he is doing. It only matters what you are doing, you are wasting you life being concerned about him. Get out there and hike-there are hiking clubs and all different kinds of clubs listed on Meetup and they do lots of things that don't require a ton of money. Here is wishing happiness to you!

  Wow, lots of changes! The old KM was hideously boring anyway. Funny that the magazines will be bimonthly with no date, surely a cost cutting measure. Almost no one reads them anyway. Also one less meeting a month the subjects the attendees to do a 'talk', there were so many cancellations for talks before I left, that I'm betting the school overseer will be thrilled he doesn't have to figure out who to ask to substitute.

  Would a Muslim country tolerate a Christian or Atheist or homosexual president? Probably not. No, a Muslim should not be president of the USA. Not until they stop stoning women, marrying young girls, allow people to have the freedoms that we take for granted in muslim countries.

  JW "charity" during wildfire crisis

  so i live in the area of the 'valley' wildfire in northern california.

  i just returned home after 3 days evacuated.

  there is a family who run a fitness center and had opened their doors in disaster relief to affected people with beds, food, clothing and shelter.

  Parrots Turn Carnivores.....Media Article ..Sure to get J.W.`s all excited .

  the first part was a heading in the herald sun newspaper tues.sep.15 ,2015 melbourne victoria .. , lorikeets and other parrots are becoming meat eaters---and researchers want to know why.. griffith university professor darryl jones has heard the herbivorous bird was eating mince left out by bird feeders in brisbane (australia ) "in two weeks i had about 500 emails from across the country all saying lorikeets were eating meat" he said.. that will surely get the faithful thinking the big "a" is almost upon us.. in the 1960`s i was told that buzzards and other carnivorous birds were laying twice as many eggs than was normal proving the big "a' was almost here.. here we go again.

  Somewhat embarrassed to admit this: My hubby often remarks on the number of scavenger birds he sees lately, i.e., turkey buzzards or crows, being a sign that the end is nigh. This has been going on for 24 years now, so I guess that mean Armeggedon is, wait for it, wait for it, 'SOON'.

  In light of the number of school shootings done by "nice kids" in the USA, I understand why the school decided to be on the safe side. We don't know the school's side of the story yet, only that of the kid's. He may have been a harmless smart kid or he may have been an ISIS/ISIL supporter or some kind of trouble maker. Waiting for the rest of the story.

  hello friends!today is a sad day for me, as seven months have gone by since my mother passed away after a decades-long fight with breast cancer..

  because the witnessing/preaching/teaching work doesn't make any sense to me anymore; because it's not about any "truth"; and because it's basically useless, i've decided to quit doing it.

  instead, i've decided to do something that actually can make a real difference in other people's lives.

  i have no idea which one.

  the way that i found out is: while looking for a confirmation email for a plane trip we are making, i opened his account.

  millie210-Thank you! I am rather laid back, especially about the JW stuff. I never, ever ask, because I really don't want to him to think there is the remotest chance of me ever going back. If he has a position, it would be news to me.
