yes i am a non believer but also very concerned that his mother, an active & obsessed jw is filling his mind with this sort of thing.

Thanks for your posts, means alot to me. I am seperated from my wife and the reason is because of the Watchtower fanatisism. She is not allowed to take him to the Kingdom Hall, I will not allow this and this actually give myself and son quality time together without her around. However instead of studying things like the English Language she's indoctrinating him slowly. The aim must be to later lead him to the Kingdumb hall?

Can you imagine when I asked him if he he enjoyed the bible he said yes,...theres lots of killing in it. We talked about Abraham and (g)od telling him to kill his son. We hit home base and was afraid of this idea that a father would put (g)od over his sons life. I reassured him that I will never listen to sillyness like that and he is the most improtant person above any imposter.

JWs are teaching her to be a liar but a self deluded one at that.....She doesn't understand the impact contradiction has on a rational person.

She has been quoted the "a wife should be exemplary and show her husband the real quality of a believer" however she refused to listen because it was sent to me by what she refers to as apostates. Imagine that, a quote from the bible that she is prepared to ignore?

Anyway, it has been a frantic afternoon thinking of remarks about Jesus. We already joke about Jesus being a "zombie" so this will be built upon. Now is the time start to get him to understand that threats are from bullies and bullies should be warned off. If I can I will try to get him to understand that god said "thou shalt not kill" so Jesus is being naughty by threatening to kill people. Very complicated but perhaps there is a lot of milage about this to get him to understand that we have secular laws that are dealt with by the police and the prison system. I have told him that I am not afraid of Jesus and if he does try to kill me I'll cut his head off!

Why are the Watchtower still allowed to teach and practice these sorts of teaching? Surely by now there must be some sort of law to prevent constant adjustment of the truth by twisting biblical prophesies. The whole issue is a damned nightmare. Agree with the WT or not they still insist on bringing everyone into their dramas and serverly interupting their lives. Damn the watchtower. Where is that David who can bring down that Goliath of a hypocrytical cult?

increasingly, i find myself resistant to any form of religion that dictates exactly what i should believe, what i should wear, down to the last skirt to meeting, or what i eat, what i read, what i watch, and denies me my god-given right to think for myself and to use the brain he gave me.. that's what i've gained from the watchtower.. thank you, watchtower!

Actually the JWs see religion as it reallly is. Not becuase they are "the truth" but rather they represent all the deception in that grand narrative.

Yes I am a non believer but also very concerned that his mother, an active & obsessed JW is filling his mind with this sort of thing. Alarm bells are ringing in my head because last night was not the first time he said it. I had confronted her about this before and she simply said that that he had misunderstood what she had taught him. No, I think he clearly understood what she was teaching him. In discussion she just gave me a manakin stare and powered down any receptivity. Oddly too the child is also doing the emotional statement then shutting down mentally not to recieve.

My parents are catholics. Not once did anyone introduce this sort of idea into my head however thanks to the JWs it is clear what sort of insultive manipulators the Watchtower are. JESUS and JEHOVAH ARE BULLIES It is time to teach children about the type of people who use threats, especially of death if they do not follow. Its a gun to head ordering compliance. What sort of mentally ill people tell a child this sort of thing?

my jw partner (we are seperated) applied for and got a job in a hospital working as a phlebotomist,.. odd i thought at first.

as i am aware they collect blood samples and deliver blood to wards for a sister (uk senior nurse term) for administration to patients.

I just had an after-thought about the second to last paragraph. The guy left a not very well paid job to work for 3/4s less because of his christian morals. Sounds obserd and financially sucidal if he was supporting a famiy!!

I guess in the same booklet or somewhere soon after there must be an article about having the right christian conciousness to serve Jehovah only. He would have had, like the JWs around here, a window cleaning job which is a low wage with less hours so they have more time to spread the good news... yeah clever.

That was painful to read....it is left up to thier own concious to decide and no doubt there are other articles that will make them feel more troubled about what they are doing against J.Hoovers will. not very clear from the Watchtower ?? Thanks for the time and trouble of posting this information. Incident she worked on a ward whilst a baptised JW which regularly performed abortions. Amazing how one can be so adamant that J.Hoover actually disaproves of blood... I feel there is a get out clause for the WTBT$ in that writing.

Okay thanks Blondie,... You always come up with just the right WT reference. So continuing from this. If she was to supply blood by the means of fitting a needle and drip to a patient so the patient would be recieving blood ,....would this be in violation of J. hoovers laws??

She will be handling blood and parts of blood... (derivitives of blood). Is this right and allowed by the WT$? I perhaps is missing something here but it's a bit like an anti abortionist working in an abortion clinic?...

Dunno what the great big sky daddy Jehovvabobble would think to all this... Your thoughts and truths please....
