by fallen_princess ini remember one time when i was about 17 years old, i wanted to arrange a costume party for the young brothers in the congo around my age.
i suggested it to one of my friends and was told that the elders had advised against it because it could be construed as pagan and masks have their roots in demonism.
of course, i was never shown any biblical proof of this but just that response took the wind out of my sails and i decided to just not go through with it.

I'm out officially (to them)
by pubtruth intonight i'm officially no longer an unbaptized publisher after two months of no reports.
the zealous elder i have mentioned before got an earful of my thoughts and jumped on me with the guilting and about 2 hrs of studying 607 + blood.
i admitted researching and he had told me how you guys are no more than 100 resentful, lifeless, disfellowshipped people just hating on them.

what did he say to you? the entirety of people exposing the wts is 100 people? why didn't he just address what you were researching? as to show you he had the truth? instead he says they are just 100 disfellowshipped people? (sad thing is he probably really believes that too, since some other elder told it to him).
i havent been around here long myself, although i probably off and on read the forum over the years for 5 minutes here and there. but i've heard other people on here saying that they in fact do come here, and try to finger people. although they may have been misinformed, i havent been here long enough to know one way or the other.

the world is going to end in 2012 though...so you have to remember, the society is only making plans for their establishment in the new system...not this system. that always works as a good exuse to indulge in decadence doesn't it. i may use that myself....hey that's good, whenever anyone complains about wealthy brothers and sisters, they should just respond 'oh no no no, i am just getting started on the new system'. it seems to be talking about staying loyal to jehovah when chased by enemies and then it turns it around to saying stay loyal to jehovah by accepting elder decisions on who to disfellowship.
the odd thing about it, is that david was chased in two different ways, by his son who wanted to usurp his throne.

shechaiyah thankyou for sharing that. it's stories like that which prompt me to get so infuriated when i see videos as in this history channel clip above. obviously my statement about the guy saying they are to lazy to eat was a satircal comment, based off a realistic idealology that exists ,which may as well say they are to lazy to eat. it's the same thing southpark does. in this case it's far from funny though. the most sanitized clear thinking take on what the commentator in the clip was actually saying was still beyond offensive, no matter which way you slice it. these guys feel like they have "the math"...and if only everyone would listen to them, everything would be fine. they will try every means necessary to force people into following them through subtle or salient means....we know how that show ends, it ends in even more misery and complete conflagration.
