that is one reason i dont like it when people comment on other people's disabilities. they superimpose their own situation on the other individual, which is really a crude line of reasoning. there are many tools in the toolbox of psychology. projecting (which generally has negative connotation), in this context being the same as superimposing....can be an affective tool, as long as it's used in conjunction with other tools of psychology and reasoning together. as a stand alone tool, it's extremely crude. in an analogy, picture a surgeon operating on someone's chest...now picture him only having access to one tool, a scalpel maybe...he may actually get something done with that one tool, but it's not going to be pretty. he needs all the tools to be affective.

it's getting off the subject of the cyclical theme running through from knight rider to training day but; one thing i would say when you watch training day again. this time you have to start thinking as soon as the movie starts, about denzel's situation in the movie...it's so much more interesting once you realize the huge predicament denzel is in, when he is given hoyt as a student.
because ofcourse you dont find out until near the very end the first time you watch it. you find out when those mexican gang bangers are going to kill hoyt in the bath tub, and they find out he stopped their little cousin from being raped...that is when you find out. but if you start the movie again, and recognize the russians are out to kill denzel, and how denzel is trying to figure a way out from them executing him....and then you see everything , including how he is dealing with hoyt and head tripping him, it makes the movie 10x more interesting. because you realize what denzel is really doing, he's playing mind games with hoyt the entire time, to see if he can allow him to live.
the whole movie denzel is doing everything he's doing because he's trying to accomplish two things. he's trying to get out of being killed by the russians. (by paying them a large sum of money in trade for his life). and he's trying to head trip hoyt to the nth degree because if he can corrupt hoyt, then he can allow hoyt to live. but if he cant corrupt hoyt, he has no choice but to kill him. (fearing hoyt will turn him in).
you see different angles the more you watch it. really amazing movie.

you dont understand penelope. this guy has been starting threads like wildfire, and from the bits and pieces i've personally read...they are seriously troll bait threads. at one point this guy said he was out all day with the anointed in field service, now he's going to harvard and cant spell? then he said he talked to the elders about this web page, and said the one elder wants to chop off all our heads? the guy is just making up bs to get people to respond to bs. you dont think that is really disrespectful and rude to everyone on this board?

mum: this is truly one of the greatest movies ever made. i've watched it in detail like a lot of people have, probably a dozen times. if you watch the movie closely, you see denzel started off as a good guy like hoyt. when they goto the drug dealers house that denzel later shoots, first thing he says to denzel is "hoyt reminded him of denzel, same look in his eye, saving the gd world" something like that. denzel replies, "yea that lasted what about an hour?"....the movie shook up a lot of people, especially in the lapd (entire la law enforcement community). they did an hour program on amc, that deals with just how much of an impact this movie had. that's probably on youtube too.

you really run the gamut dont you blondie. more power to you. i just have a question, what gives you the drive to pay attention to every single little detail constantly? dont you ever feel like, ok i think i've pretty much utterly exposed the idiocy of this religion? do you have any personal time? i find it amazing all these elders and some co's have confided in you, since you are female. (i'm not sexist , but most of those guys are to a degree)....you must of been partaking of the emblems, is the only way i can figure that would be possible. so in summation of your post, it would seem *nobody* is listening to directions in the grand organization of the true god? so surprising, they all seemed to sincere and loving too! i am shocked.

the summation of our existence is cycles. you have to put up with the bad cycles, to re-enter the good cycles. you can almost look at it like payment. your grief,stress,anxiety,pain ends up being payment for the good cycles. then once you've used up all your capital, you re-enter a bad cycle to re-compile this capital to pay for the next good cycle again.
i tend to think of people on a line graph. some people never struggle much with heavy anxiety, or a lot of pain. it seems these people are also restricted in how much pleasure(contentment) they can attain though. their biggest shifts(cycles in life) range from 3 to -3 for example. people who are able to experience much higher levels of pleasure(contentment) , tend to also range from the high positive numbers to the high negative numbers. ie. people who are able to attain much higher levels of contentment(pleasure), also hit major low ends. in their cycles.

actually i would say the stakes are quite high here. think about the people who come here....people who are entrapped by this cult of absolutism....their minds highjacked by a thought, a thought that says "we are following the mouth-piece of god"....soooo the stakes are kinda high actually...
try to get past the fact that you dont completely understand internet culture band. just because at some point in your life you found out you were equally smart(or smarter) than some folks that you thought were better than you...doesn't mean now everytime you feel inferior, that same scenerio holds true. maybe try a different approach. like hey how bout conceding to the culture that exists, it might save you a lot of grief. concession isn't always weakness.
maybe next time you can state, "anyone can make a mistake on this sort of forum"....and leave it at that, maybe a few people give you a benefit of the doubt. but once you tack on the next sentence, now you've ensured it's you versus the entire forum? where is the logic in this?

i know the world can be great and people can be wonderful but on the flip side, the bad seems to be getting worse and morals seem to be flying out the window.

ziddina: as soon as you say that, i cant help but think of watching interviews with these tea party guys. their eyes all glazed over, beads of sweat forming on their foreheads, their chests palpitating as their anxiety almost explodes into speaking over the man/woman trying to interview them...as they finally blurt out in nervous anger their ideas regarding smaller government...followed by the realization that they would stand to lose their entire livelihood, if the policies they are championing came to fruition. their va benefits, ss benefits etc. as an objective neutral observer of this, i dont know what to make of it.
