i am halfway through my master's program in psychology/sociology and plan on being a therapist/sounselor.
i left jw's in 1988 and i have never looked back.
i enjoy my life so much after getting my aa degree, then my ba degree, and now i will soon get my ma degree.
With all due respect to the "profession" of psychology, physchologists are demonic. I was in a psychologists office once and he began speaking in tongues and everything in his office started floating on air . . .
I think I just experienced several emotions simultaneously...and it was like they all cancelled each other out all at once, so that the sum was equal to 0, which was represented by a pause, and a still and blank stare.
what happened after he was done floating and speaking in tongues?

i think the statement," She told police that when she informed Buzzard she was thinking of reporting the abuse, he threatened to kill himself " is very telling. makes me sick on the one hand, and on the other hand, you just see how desperately this man was in need of medical attention. the guy is destroying this girls life and when she finally goes to report him, he doesn't say he is going to kill her, he doesn't try and manipulate her, he just flat out says that he is going to kill "himself" and "himself" only. i know this is pathetic at this point like splitting hairs, but with so many people basically mass suiciding (shooting everyone else and then themselves): it is actually relevant that he says what he does. this guy had some serious mental illness, not like depression or anxiety, this guy had some real heavy duty shit going on, and needed very very professional help. just a bunch of ruined people all around, the wife is dead, the guy is going to prison, and the girl is permanently scarred.
with all of the manipulating of people's lives and subliminaly coercing witnesses to give their wills and other belongings to the wt upon their death or sooner.
also with all of the manipulating of younger one's in terms of coercing them into not doing anything with they're lives except "spiritual pursuits" for the sole purpose of furthering their own corporate interests, is there possibly some men behind the scenes who really call the shots and using the gb just as puppets in a huge money making scam knowing full well the the whole jw thing is a complete pile of crap?
in other words, are these "bosses" conscientiously manipulating the r & f on purpose knowing full well what they are doing to their member's in so many ways?

don't you wonder at all how a lot of these people who have been intimately involved with people at the higher levels of WT, have never heard of any of these conspiracies? don't you think they would have at least gotten to see some indication that such grand conspiracies are taking place? like i said, i'm just asking an honest question. i've been to bethel, i've gotten to know some of them....i've seen plenty of psychological disorders, self loathing, people in abject denial...at the top.....but haven't seen any lizard people or anything like that?

i don't generally see people getting ragey over being told christ or jehovah is an illusion, maybe i just don't read enough of the threads. i know there is a well respected atheist who does say it is just as silly to make the absolute claim that christ does not exist as it is to say that he does exist.....because simply you don't know that. i know i know i know ALLLLLLL the arguments and i know what you are thinking, you want to quote dawkins to me now, and i never intended to find myself on the side of defending this angle to begin with.
