  hello, i am back after a long break from all things jw and xjw, and publicly, i will offer my apologies to the owner of this board for being so harsh with him/her, and if he allows me to remain on this board, i am thankful.. i am the apostate formerly known as publishingcult.

  i am currently in the richmond, va area if anyone would care to meetup for coffee or whatever.

  i will be in the area for at least a couple days.

  i have been "lurking" for about four years now.. it was an incredibly weird experience just to look at a site like jwn or freeminds.

  he came off very loving.. so, i decided that i would talk to one of my elders about the things i read.

  TowerAgent: My problem is, I so badly WANT to believe that the Watchtower is right. I want them to be used by Jehovah. But the problem is...I don't think they are right...and I don't think Jehovah is using them.

  I understand your dilemma. Wanting something to be true and it actually being true are two very different things. At some point, most of us here have had to face that fact.

  It's a process, losing your religion. But ultimately, hanging on to a bunch of lies based on wishful thinking is not mentally healthy. Look at what it does to those that remain in as evidence of that.

  Oh, I forgot:

  • Joe Pass - phenomenal solo jazz guitarist - saw him at a supper club in L.A. Our table was less than 10 feet from the stage.
  • John Pizzarella - saw his trio at the same supper club a year later. This time our table was even closer. John put his set list on our table. Cool!

  In answer to the question in the OP Thread Title, "No. And not just no, but Hell No!"

  I love the WTBTS's weasely, " "The evidence points to the following conclusion ..."

  My question whenever they trot out the word "evidence" is always the same: "What evidence?"

  The answer is always the same ..... SILENCE ....

  They never, and I mean NEVER, provide any real evidence. They have learned that they can use the word "evidence" and it is enough to fool the masses of JW's into thinking there was actually some real evidence provided.

  Good points. The GB obviously is corrupt and rotten to the core.

  But I wish you would quote the refuting evidence in your blog rather than just giving references for us to look up.
