forget the remote, it is time you two get back on the board, post, pm and get into chat, it is what brought you two together, time to rekindle.

My wife, or my remote...which?
by onacruse ina hard question...must consult a few philosophers before being able to formulate an answer.. no, wait!!!
i have the answer.
kate, i luv ya and all that---but, now, kindly step aside and recognize universally acknowledged and incontrovertibly demonstrable laws of conduct: the man owns the remote..

Who makes the WORST boss.....Male or Female??
by ScoobySnax in6 months ago i was promoted to ward manager in the hospital i work in, and despite all the stress that goes with working in healthcare (particularly the good ol nhs!
) i come home usually knackered but still pleased that this is the job/career path i have chosen.
managing nurses brings its own headaches, and without wanting to sound sexist, it is sometimes difficult to work alongside a whole group of women and try to keep a happy ship with all the personalities that come into play.

The worst boss I had was a man. The worse part of the problem was that he was an alcholic. I ran a parts store for him. He would come in drunk and he would reek of it. He even did this on his days off. I left because I knew no matter how hard I tried to keep things going his disease was going to cause him to lose the business. The store had great potential because there was't another one anywhere near by. Some of the local shops had running bets on how quickly he would lose it after I left. The doors shut within 6 months.
I have had a few female superiors who have been okay. I have butted heads with both male and female bosses when I didn't think things were handled fairly.
The rest of the bosses I had were for the most part male, including the one I have now. The boss I have now is by far the best person I ever have worked for.
All in all I think the worst is..... not whether it is a male or female boss, it is the individual. Some just shouldn't be allowed to be the boss.

GB are reading out posts?
by Gill inrecently i was reading and writing posts of why lot would offer his daughters to the men of sodom and someone else was asking or commenting on why uzziah was killed for trying to stop the ark of c. from falling.
well, lo and behold, the feb 1st watchtower addresses both of these questions and suggests that we should not be questioning these events as god knows what he's doing?.
are you listening (or reading) gb or gb representatives.

((((((((((Brenda & Lena)))))))))
We are praying that all goes well. The waiting is so frustrating. You want to stay busy, and yet you can't stay focused on anything you try to do. Hang in there. Lena, I hope you feel better very soon.

Candy
by duffy inyears ago, while i was still in, i heard coworkers talk about jws leaving candy on their porch.
i had to tell them i knew nothing about that practice and that i thought it sounded kind of cheesy to be honest.
over the years i 've heard the same comments about jws leaving candy behind when they find no one at home...

LOL Goshawk
I don't remember anything on the monthly report that showed candy placements. Was it next to magazines or books?

Brother Michael called.....
by jellybelly inwe had a phone call yesterday, after being "inactive" for 6 years.
not having attended a meeting in 4 years, we get a call saying they are concerned that they had heard we believe in evolution.
my partner said "not necesarily believe in it, im just not discounting it at this time.

Wait, do they have two eye witnesses to the fact that you believe in evolution? I think the rules are that you have to have two witnesses.
Welcome jellybelly!
