Just a short break
by rebel intoday i spoke with mr & mrs nightwarrior for the first time.
i can honestly say they are the most honest, genuine and wonderful couple around.
if there are any people out there who don't know who to turn to, turn to these people - they are the best.. i also spoke with 'mum' yesterday from the us.

Sadie, it helps to follow up with a phone call too. Call them back and inquire about them considering your application, it lets them know you are working to get this job and it brings your name back to the top.

My introduction...hopefully not too long!
by Redneckgurl ini am going to try to introduce myself without giving away any evidence of who i am as i am not df or da, but just wanting to figure out what is right for me to do!
i was born into the jw world only to have parents df as a young child and we celebrated all the holidays without the "holy" meanings and i have such wonderful memories of that.
when i was 10, the elders stopped by and the rest is history.......i had to quit dance lessons, stop going to my friends house, and no more birthday parties, etc etc.

The Watchtower’s rules regarding association with unbelieving family members have been reversed at least twice in just our lifetime alone. When the Watchtower said that it was up to family members to determine how much contact that they would have even with disfellowshipped family members, our immediate family began to freely socialize with (DFd-Relative) and (DFd-Relative), just as though there had never been any rules to the contrary. When the Watchtower reversed its position again, our family promptly began shunning them again. So, was the supposed “light of truth” as revealed by the Watchtower organization getting brighter, then dimmer, then brighter again? Was Christ in heaven supposedly changing his mind about a matter so serious and with such devastating consequences to the families involved? Others of their rules and scriptural interpretations have similarly flip-flopped over the years.

by funkyderek inmy father has just become a grandfather for the first time and may never get to see his grandson because my brother has cut off all ties with him.. my best friend was offered a free holiday by his parents so he would be away on the day of his sister's wedding.. and what have these people done to deserve such heinous treatment?
my father was disfellowshipped for adultery over twenty years ago, my best friend for smoking when he was seventeen.. i'm so mad i can't even put it into words properly.
i want to scream, i want to lash out at the despicable bastards who instigated this policy, and the snivelling cowards who obey it without question.. but what can i do?
