  My life ... and how JWD came to be - Part 3

  for me, the walls of the watchtower were not destroyed by a single giant cannon-ball but rather every brick had been weakened and suddenly the whole thing just 'collapsed'.. i've alwys been an avid reader and a firm believer that you can learn anything and everything from a good book.

  anyway, i was reading a bad book, the creation book, and this time things were different.. normally, the mere thought that the wts could "not be right" could not even be contemplated.

  it was like you can't even comprehend the concept or understand the question, least of all imagine it.. yet now, i read the book and things were screaming at me from the pages.

  Before they had left they resorted to threats ... "don't tell anyone else about this stuff or else ... you don't want to lose your friends and family do you?"

  Typical isn't it, when they can't answer your questions or issues, then they try the old threat trick, anything they can resort to. Yep lets put the fear in them, terrify them so that they are afraid to question anything much less walk away. How cultish.

  Sadly your average r&f would not have researched the WTBS' so called references, everything is taken at face value. Yep if they print it, it must be the truth.

  some of you will remember that i occasionally brag on my dear friend, jann, who has been such a wonderful, caring friend to me since i moved to michigan from ontario over 10 years ago and whose love and support i could not have done without recently when my mother fell ill and then died.

  (rayzor is a cheerleader of hers, too!

  ) well, ten days ago, she finally joined the forum as "kidneybean," a reference to her new lease on life since last august thanks to an organ donor.

  Interesting coincidence

  today is the one-year anniversary of my dad's suicide.

  i'm not bringing that up for sympathy or hugs, because while i feel sad i'm okay.

  i agree with the experts who say that one needs a year of grieving, passing the milestones, the holidays, the familiar seasons, in order to move on, and i do feel that i am moving on.

  i don't think despite all my ups and downs, my worries, my insecurites, my trying to live life apart from that i really in my heart of hearts know to be right, that i could ever really lose my love for jehovah.

  i just can't forget that what i once learnt.

  it can't be undone.

  Scooby, you've been through a lot, and you are being probably the hardest on yourself. I come in and check threads a little, but I don't post as much as I did a while back, a lot of it is a time factor in my life right now. I needed a break, but I like to at least check in. I will take the time at least by this weekend and email you. I love Jehovah/God too, but I found that after I left an organization that I learned to love him from my heart , a love that is not based on fear. I don't base that love on a reward system. I was not your typical JW, oh I had somewhat of the mindset that came with it, but deep in my heart I couldn't rationalize the judgement that was thrown on others.

  Sometimes we can't pinpoint what we are angry at, at least not right at that moment, but you will sort it out. Likely it is more then one thing, and anger may not really be the ruling emotion. Hang in there!
