My friend is getting DF'ed for apostacy on Thurs. So, no. I do not think they are changing anything. It's the average witnesses that are caring less. Thats why they need a "reminder" in the Nov watchtower study.

Are we starting to treat DF people differently?
by Quarterback insome may remember the time when the private study edition of the wt wasn't to be made available to outsiders, and the df'd.. now, with the recent boe letter, sept 1, 2014, it specifically states that jw.org is making the km available even for df'd individuals.. do you sense a new trend developing?.

Prediction of large drop in JW numbers in 2014
by VM44 ini am going to make the prediction, here and now in mid 2006, that there will be a significant drop in the number of jehovah's witnesses in the year 2014, the one hundredth anniversary of 1914.. the only way this drop in numbers might be avoided is if the watchtower society can think up some way to stir up the rank and file and get them motivated to do more, like they did with the 1975 fiasco.. .
i doubt very much that the watchtower magazine is going to proclaim loudly in the year 2014 anything about the "generation of 1914" not passing away.. --vm44

He was kind of spot on about stirring up the sheep.

Is new light coming again?
by justme67 ini just turned in my resignation letter to my congregation a few weeks ago.
last week, 2 elders called me to say they received my letter and would like to meet with me to discuss my concerns.
in my letter, i said i had found out about all the child abuse cases that were going on and that i didnt agree with their policy of disfellowshipping.

Elders dont know sh&T. That doesnt mean there wont be changes, it just means they have no clue what they are until they get the anouncement. When I found out from here the new light concerning the F&DS I asked a Missionary CO and he had no clue about it. If there is anything new we usually find out here first.

Perhaps this religion will go the way of Scientology in attracting celebraties. Most Stars want nothing more than a reason to feel pious.

What Sparky said is true. If it were a homeless person they wouldnt even bother talking to him ( being that he obviously does not have a computer) much less request a picture. This "campaign" excludes all the lowly ones who are the real ones that need hope.

by Yondaime inas i am typing this post i am constantly looking over my shoulder to see if anybody is at my bedroom door lol guys i know i am stuck in a a cult.
but this s*** is f****** crazy!!!!.

Yes this is very real. I was born in too. I started realizing something was fishy around the age of 16 but I chose to shut my brain off and continue. Eventually though it comes back and soon you can not ignore it any longer.
My advice is go until you dont have to anymore. Dont feel any guilt and dont let them infect you. If you are in high school, kick butt and get a scholarship to a University and get the hell out of Dodge!!

jw.org madness
by Gorbatchov inmore and more jw.org special campain pictures made by the r&f flush over the internet.. it's crazy how this jw.org madness becomes a phallus inside the witness world.. observing it from some distance, it is clear: jw.org is the central theme of the current witness beliefs.
every step they make, is for promoting jw.org.
when they speak, they only speak about jw.org.

I remember some witnesses being counseled on wearing a watchtower tie pin. Whats the difference? Oh yeah. The GB endorses it now. Its sad to see people so worked up over a website. Talk about being hungry for excitement. If they took a step back for once they would see how boring their lives must to be to be so worked up over this.
This religion is so boring that they called for a special campaign to promote a website? Couldnt they have just thrown in at the end of any placement offer "Oh yeah. Please visit our website www.JW.org" at the end and just place the logo in the back of all literature?
Special Campaigns is all they have left to excite the drones. That and new light every now and again.

Jesus was a false prophet?
by opusdei1972 inand he said to them, "i tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of god come with power.
(mark 9:1).
when you are persecuted in one place, flee to another.

My theory on Jesus is that if he did exist, he was just a regular dude like Ghandi. Maybe, over time, his followers started claiming that he was "special" or a prophet. At first, maybe he shied away from it. Perhaps thats why he didnt want anyone to spread BS tales of miracles and why he said he was the "son of man". But soon his "movement" grew too large. His legend began to grow. He slowly began to believe the tales and his ego took over. Cult of personality consumed his followers. Maybe at the core he knew he was just a man but to come clean would mean dissapointment to thousands. Thats why, at the end the religious leaders had to force him to say he was the son of god. He was vague several times by answering "you yourself say it to be true". But finally when pressured over and over he said "yes". The battle between truth and ego was over and ego won. He was to die a matyr instead of dying a lier.
