  The Convention Pretty Much Sucked

  i feel better now.. but just in case you are wondering why i think it sucked, here you go:.

  - it was clearly an "insider's only" convention.

  why invite the public if you are just going to engage in crazy talk that only jws can decipher?.

  Hi All,

  I went to the assembly...one day only...Saturday. I didn't go where my congregation goes. Anyway. I heard the drama was off the hook...so I saw it..no it was about family worship...the trials that families have to try to have them weekly....also, was told it was a tear jerker....All nice messages but....Where's the beef ?....Again, let me say, they are nice folks but ....No JOY...then they can't figure out why they can't get anyone...because they don't look like anyone you would want to be. If I told someone to take this pill because it's good for you & I look at you and you are foaming at the mouth...would you want to take that pill to look like the person who recommended it...get my point...I feel they are more for the organization then for God....I think they throw Jesus in their mix as a side line to say...yep we believe in Jesus...But Jehovah is the man...I'm going to another assembly in Sept. on Sunday...I haven't been with them long enough to compare what use to be & now is. All I know is that they think the assemblies are better than slice bread...I think because they can just sit & listen & don't have to comment...I love looking at folks take notes...like they really going to use them...."Showy Display".....I say if something hits you that can help...sure write it down but it's good to just sit & listen...that's one of their problems..they get fed spiritually, and as soon as they get it they regirgitate it to anyone they come across...Big problem with them is that they have so much information in their head they are bubbling over....I alway tell them to put on their oxygen mask first, before you try to save others..just like the plane....don't they say, put on your mask first so you can help others....they don't....so happy to know something they THINK no one else knows...They think they are no part of the world, yes they are. When you go to the hall you meet all types of folks..gossipers, folks that like to put their bags in the chair next to them so no one will sit by them, flirts, users..& nice folks too. People are the same every where it's just a matter of what church or hall you go to...It's all about love...God wants us to do a dry run before we are resurrected into paradise or heaven, wherever..all I know is that I want to be there....It's a love walk ..

  Hi Mr. Massey,

  I study with them...the word you looking for is....CORNY...I love them as people but wow do they drink down the koolaide... Here's my rub with them...the preach & teach...ok if you want to do it, but to say if you don't that you aren't worthy....I've been to a couple of them...nice but half of them fall asleep, especially after lunch...pratically dribbling....then they jump up ..Refreshed ..& say..AH..it's over...I could've stayed there forever...Sure but glad they don't...the mothers constantly picking at the children, giving them water 'til they pass out...I say give'em a coloring book & let it ride...folks going to bathroom all the time....young girls geting their dress on yet looking for the young man they gonna grab before another filly gets him....Fathers, or brothers congregating together...talking man talk...most likely talking about the pretty single sisters that their wife better not catch them talking to....Must I go on...I know what you mean..I love learning the bible & believe many things the Witnesses say...but what I believe more than them...THE BIBLE....it's so simple...only man can make more out of it then it is....Love God &Love One another.Yes, there are other things to do ACTION....be kind..help your neighbor, with food or whatever....yes & do share the gospel. I'm going to the assembly on Sat...we shall see....I hope I get a chance to communicate with you again..I'm new to this site so can't figure out to pickup the reply or where to find it...

  JW’s are obsessed with persecution

  over the weekend i was around a group of jw's.

  i have not been in such a setting for along time so it was sort of surreal.. so this one older jw woman started to talk about her neighbors and their little girls and how much she liked them.

  she said they were a nice family, etc, that they watch each other homes when they go away on vacation, etc.

  Hi All,

  My first time here..I study with the witnesses..let me start by saying, they are nice but.....I go to the meetings & all they seem to be are pep rallys for Preach & Teach...so if you don't eventually you'll feel out of place or guilty. I wouldn't mind sharing the good news but I don't swallow all the stuff they are handing...like Jesus being Michael the Archangel...I have too many scriptures that I can point out to them that show he isn't....Yes, they are weary, that's why the lights in their eyes are out....they have been up & down my block since I moved there 5 yrs ago...the only person that comes from my block is...ME...& I was recruited by a sister at my job...didn't Jesus say dust off your feet & keep it moving....did he go back to the villages & towns to see if the word has taken effect...Everyone knows where the halls are...Why don't they flock to them..because it's the for everyone. They live in this world & have access to all the props of the gov. systems...welfare, SSI, Social Security...but talk down about them. That's like saying your friend has a dirty house but when you need a place to stay..you go to your friends dirty house...They only see the bad..& yes this world is in a mess. They talk about the Red Cross & all these agencies that they don't believe in but if they didn't exist..What would they do...would they get a helicopter & fly to New Orleans & rescue someone off a roof. Or rescue a dog from a river...no....none of the above. We are told not to judge..& they do & so do we all. Stop predicting & just do their thing...As I say I go to the hall...they are tired & weary & can't do enough...me...I'm just learning what God is really about. Then I will make my choice. I love them but it's too much...read the WT, the KM, all the books, the videos, the cd's, learn the songs, blah blah blah...Plus when & if I decide to date, I'm an older woman...& don't need no chaperone...this is where my no's mean no & my yes's mean yes...
