All anyone has to do to lead a person away from the Living God is to get him to be believing a lie.
I am with Tammy here that if a person keeps their unbelief on a level that does not affect their life then they are on no team. But when people use propaganda to get others to believe like them, then they are on the team against the truth.

Truth exists whether or not there was a Bible written or whether or not the representation of God in Christ appeared.
So I will say that it was not the basis of Gandhi's believing that caused his hearing, but I don't know. I think it is possible that he heard the inner voice and then found Christ.
In other words, truth seekers will find Christ as long as they continue to look for truth.

No djeggnog, the Jehovah's Witnesses do not keep themselves separate from strife and conflicts. By the way they work out their doctrines they create strife and conflict.
I have had a revelation about what keeping one's self separate from the world means and JWs do not do that.
Even the letters they sent to Nazi Germany prove they are not no part of the world.
They have demonstrated without doubt that they are NOT separate from the world, it's politics, its strife and its conflicts.
the powers that be back at headquarters seem to really be developing this idea that the individual witnesses make up the "organization".
i'm seeing this idea/train of thought coming up more and more in places like jw chat rooms.
is that so the members will end up taking more personal responsibility for the mis steps of the board of directors/governing body?
I think it is the truth that it is the individuals that make up the organization.
Individuals of the organization for the most part are people of high moral standards who love one another and care well for their famillies. But together as a body with a common goal they fit the description at 2 Timothy 3:1-7 in my opinion.

How do I know there is a spiritual war going on now?
Because I want to.
When I heard the history of the Second World War I said to myself, please self, never be like those people who did not reliaze until too late what was happening. I would much rather stop war than clean up after it. I would much rather help someone out of it than cure their memory.

"Jehovah's Witnesses, ....Their central doctrine is that the Second Coming of Christ is imminent"
But it is a few men, some have already died, that say it is to them he has come. And they say that the Book of Revelation was written for the few men that Christ has come to. So they are supposedly the ones who "listen" as the Book tells us to listen and then they tell the world what Christ is telling.
So then anyone who believes that it is to the few men of the Watchtower that the good news is being directed might actually be hearing Christ but not listening because it is not coming from the self styled "God's Spirit directed organization".
In other words the Watchtower Organization says it is that which should be listened to. Everyone who believes them won't listen when Christ speaks because it's not coming from the Organization. It's coming from The Spirit.
That means the Jehovah's Witnesses are in the business of making people deaf. They are busy listening to the organization so they can't hear the spirit.

How can God be a person?
I see God as a person, an individual with a personality.
That is why what someone said, about not knowing if there is a true god but going ahead to believe it because to him believing is better than not believing, is kind. A person's feelings can be hurt. A quality is a measure, it is not life. God has life. Life can grow and prosper.
I have been denied existance on some forums. It really hurts to be imagined as nothing. Have you ever imagined how the personalities in heaven feel whenever anyone teaching heaven doesn't exist is exalted?
I believe heaven is occupied by personalities that are alive. And so the greatest personality is God because God gives life.
