"Do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together" they say means God wants you at every meeting.

It begins at Hebrew 10:22 "we should approach" meaning together as a believing body spiritually approach the high priest (entering the holy by the blood of Iesou). So then later the writer would not switch to writing about the good habit of gathering together.

It coincides with 1 Corinthians 12:21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"

Do not forsake any part of the Body that appears in Revelation 14:1, I'm sure that is what it means. To be sure Hebrews 10:25 has a spiritual meaning.

To be misled is an unconscious power. It can't be considered sinning in my opinion. But to be misleading even if it is not purposeful is sinning, isn't it? And if it is sinning, then a warning would be sounded and has been. They didn't listen.

It also makes more sense to me that "do not be misled" should be translated "do not be misleading"

6 The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap Galtsians 6:6,7

Someone teaching has more power to mislead than someone being taught. So I think Galatians 6:6 which uses the same word as

1 Corinthians 15:33 means he who teaches should take care not to deceive which means mislead.

"Bad associations spoil useful habits".

They say it means bad men can spoil a person's faith. I think it means a wrong (bad) understanding of scripture can ruin a person's search for truth.

I came to the conclusion when I found out that the word "association" can have the meaning of "communication".

if baptism is really a symbol of one's dedication to god, as the wts agrees it is, then why would someone who was baptized years earlier need to be re-baptized after studying with jehovah's witnesses?

in discussing the two questions asked of baptismal candidates, the watchtower, april 1, 2006, page 22 par 4 says:.

therefore, those who qualify for baptism have usually studied the bible for months or even a year or two, so that their decision is neither hasty nor ill-informed.

Are you saying that someone who got baptized as a Jehovah's Witness and then leaves the org can come back and be baptized again according to correct JW policy?

Or are you saying someone who was baptized as a, let's say, Baptist should get baptized again as a JW according to JW doctrine?

I know it is true of the org that someone who was baptized in some other church must do it again. But I never have heard about anyone getting baptized twice as a Jehovah's Witness.

Is worship deserved?

anyone know the jw explanation for this:.

so supposedly, god exists outside of space and time.

or, god wasn't created and didn't create itself, it just always was, or something.... ignoring any logical issues for a moment, if this is true, why does it deserve any worship for this?.

I feel more good about my fellow human and myself since I stopped believing in god!

But I think it is the god of religion that you believed in, is that right? So now you are conscious that you have removed yourself from falsehoods. Of course you feel better! Of course you feel more alive!

When a person leaves something bad like a cult anything feels better.

why would this all powerful being require our puny worship....to make him feel good?

It is to make US feel good. If we feel good we will be good. If we are good we will know how to aid another in need. If we aid another it will pay forward. If it pays forward it will grow. If it grows big and strong enough there will be no more room for hurtfullness. Then God would have accomplished God's will on Earth. Then what? I don't know, it's never been done. :(

I actually think worship for me is about embodiment. Holding the soul of Christ in you as if he were you and you were him. And living like that.

The Watchtower Society blames the people when they get disappointed that the "predictions" they make don't come true.

I have observed on JWN that people blame God when they get disappointed that God is not who they want God to be.

Who knows how to SAVE the human race? God does. If more people trust in God more good will be accomplished.

Knowing God begins with worship. How can you know someone if you do not submit to knowing? To worship someone means to pay attention to the finer attributes about him. To see the finer things about others is to learn and to emulate them. That's the goal.

I think You are not being fair. You draw conclusions without considering all the evidence. Something ELSE must have happened between the time the man picking up wood was arrested and when he was sentenced to death by stoning. You can not imagine that he publicly cursed God and Israel? I can. I don't know, but I can't judge because I wasn't a witness to the events.

The Bible is for discerning hearts. Are you quick to judge? Are you drawing conclusions to fit your own point of view?

I believe the prophesies about the death of the "wicked" are caused by them reaping what they have sown.
