  Why are people 'Bad' ?

  as far as i see it, people are bad / evil (call it what you will) because of two possible things:.

  1. they are genetically that way.

  they are born like that.. 2. the way they have been brought up has made them that way.. either way, the influences are out of their control.

  What a funky conversation. Interesting topic.

  IMO, if most people were honest with themselves, and examined their own actions they would have to admit they have made unwholesome choices along life's pathway. But choices were made. I speak from my own experience.

  Then one studies the Bible and learns why better choices can and should be made in the direction of pleasing our Creator.

  Honestly, I feel a good percentage of people choose to do bad after thinking and then deciding to cross a line. Some may well be genetically bad but for the most part people choose their life course each day. Which if you think about it, is positive. Even a formerly wicked person say, in jail, can choose TODAY to change their life. How many of God's people are living proof of this? Most.

  Preaching_Work

  when do you think the preaching work will expand in china?

  how about the middle east (iran, iraq, uae, etc)?

  do you think the angels play a great role in getting honest harted people out of these countries( through emmigration) into lands where the preaching work is being conducted to a greater degree.

  A brother and sister I know are preparing for preaching in China- or to Chinese immigrants- now. They began learning Chinese three years ago in hopes of sharing the good news with honest-hearted ones there.

  They don't know the future holds but they wanted to be ready. You would like them. They have a great love for Jehovah's sheep and appreciate the privilege of going to such ones.

  Holiday plans for the summer?

  hi, anyone have any holiday plans for the summer?.

  we hope to go to canada to visit relatives and maybe go down to san-diego to take the kids round the zoo & sea-world.

  went there a couple of years ago on business and it was incredible!.

  Well, our plans are to travel to Alaska to see family there. We want to drive to see beautiful Canada and Alaska. Some friends made this trip a few years back and loved the friends throughout Canada they met.

  I also had an Uncle (who died in 1973) who homesteaded land in the Yukon for 19 years. I hope to visit that area also.

  ...had to try this emotion smilie! Cute.

  Okay, Yentel. The scripture says:

  Daniel 9:21 - ..and [while] I was yet speaking in the prayer, why, the Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the start, having been made weary with tiredness, was arriving by me at the time of the evening gift offering.

  I remember the sister I studied with telling me that most thoughts in the Bible are proven out by being in various places usually at least three times. I realize there are exceptions. Can we find another scripture where angels tire? I have not found another yet.

  Would you listen to a rumour?

  remember that article brothers?we have been up and running for less than a week and already have had accusations of apostacy bandied about.please stop and think before you make a serious allegation like this.

  imagine the hurt it would cause to a genuine brother if it wasn't true.this doesn't mean that we should let our guard down against those who would try and disrupt things or cause divisions amongst us but i'm sure these poeple would like nothing more than to see us fall out with each other.some of these rumours have been spread by members of other boards or people pretending to be them.just be on your guard to this sort of activity and help us by not passing on unfounded accusations.thank you.
