  "...the times we are living in..."

  so, just had one of our 'elders' ring to see how we are getting on and if we need any help etc.. when my hubby was honest and said we were ok and that we had decided to just move on with our lives and our family right now and concentrate on that and nothing else, but thanked him for their interest and care over last few months.... he replied by saying, ok, he would let the body of elders know this???

  ?, and he also reminded him to not forget "the times we are living in".... my husband told me the conversation after coming off the phone and now i feel, after being on a high the last couple of weeks (despite coming off my anti-d's cold turkey, drs orders) , i feel now actually really crap, quite scared and once again like i am making a bad decision for my kids... what is wrong with me!!!.

  you got blasted by double barrels when he said that,

  your last thread topic was another common one, where to now? (where will you go?)

  once you've clicked the association you can play spot the buzz terms , tis fun when you make a game of it.

  maybe mr flipper will give you a run down of the face expressions, set jaw fixed eye thang, cant remember what its called, but you can trigger it when youre talking to jws.

  you are sitting in your cubicle at work, doing what you are supposed to be doing, namely, working.. all of a sudden your boss comes over and starts give you a hard time.

  "your work hasn't been up to par!".

  "you've been spending too much time on the internet!".

  Is it okay to be antisocial?

  ever since i was a kid, my father would tell me to quit being antisocial.

  to me, i was just playing with my favorite best friend in her room after the bookstudy.

  i had no desire to sit amongst the bookstudy group and listen to things that didnt interest me.

  Me & hubby were already out and about when the guy texted my hubby. They wanted us to meet them at a posh little resturant, a place that charges twice as much for the drinks because its a 'high end' kind of place. It was just around the corner from where my husband and I were having drinks, and they parked right where we were.

  so there was nothing stopping them popping in and having a drink with you where you were already at, seeings as they parked where you were,

  and i'm guessing if they had you would have been polite and cordial while they were there.

  being sociable works both ways in my book.

  swap the word antisocial for socially choosy.

  theres absolutely nothing wrong with that.

  as for 'friends' quality is better than quantity any day.

  as jws we were taught we had sooooooooo many 'real' friends, it was an illusion, in reality we had an awful lot of aquaintances, huge difference.

  you've just got high standards is all.

  I don't Know what to do anymore!!

  i'm afraid of people and ive really tried for fifteen years the rational part of mind keeps telling me im being stupid i've worked with these people for seven years i trust them there all really really kind none of them have done anything to harm me and when i'm at work and hanging around them i'm fine and happy and talkative but the moment i get into a situation where i have too be socalable i start having panic attacks and i cant breathe i tried talk to my dad (non jw parent) he told me to get over it that i've been out fifteen years and i cant blame my mothers religion for everything.

  i'm starting too wonder if thiers somthing wrong with me!

  the worst part is while the rational part of my brain is telling me my reations stupid the irrational part of brain is screraming and my hearts beating so fast i cant feal or control my reations.

  youre halfway there, you need to remember to give yourself credit for what you have achieved,

  the other half..there is absolutely no shame in asking a doctor to refer you to someone to help with the bit that causes you the anxiety and panic attacks. there are lots of different therapies available these days

  Kingdom Song Hangover

  aside from a song or two at the memorial the last few years, i haven't been exposed to any kingdom songs in a long time (5+ years) yet certain lyrics keep popping into my head quite frequently.. "there is joy in the service for all, it's the work jesus did you'll recall".

  "soon there'll be great banqueting in which the meek will share, this good news of the kingdom let us preach".

  "on many occasions god spoke long ago by means of his prophets on earth here below".
