Adjourning the inquest on the 15-year-old, Mr Balmain said the student had been trapped between a Vauxhall Astra and a shop when the vehicle veered off Cape Hill in Smethwick, West Midlands, on May 15.

A 28-year-old man, from the Winson Green area of Birmingham, was arrested after the vehicle became embedded in the shop, and was later released on police bail.

Outlining the brief circumstances of Joshua's death, the coroner said the teenager, of Church Road, Smethwick, underwent surgery at Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital after suffering severe leg injuries.

Mr Balmain stressed that the circumstances of his death would have to be confirmed by evidence in due course.

The coroner added: "I am told he required a blood transfusion but, due to being a Jehovah's Witness, this option was declined.

"There are clearly ongoing police inquiries and I have no information at the present time as to whether this matter will be dealt with in this court or a criminal court."

The inquest, which was adjourned to a date to be fixed, was also told that a pathologist had yet to give the court the medical cause of Joshua's death.

The student's parents were not present at the hearing, but were represented by a family friend.

let's start this over...in the right direction.. thanks to simon for providing this forum where we can discuss our experiences and issues with the wt society and the jw religion.

anyone that knows anything about me at all knows that i'm not an ass kisser, but i think we forget what a pain in the ass it must be to keep a forum like this going.

sure, most forums have flame wars and personality conflicts from time to time, but a forum about sports cars, motorcyles, basketweaving, and needlepoint don't have the same emotions and pain expressed in their subjects as this forum...as any ex-jw forum, as any ex-cult forum... does.. we're mostly a group of people who have been ostracized by family and so-called life long friends.

the only difference between pink and purple is the grip, its just one of those encouraging signs that things are progressing with the borg losing theirs or there just wouldnt be so many here and on facebook and all those other dissaproved places.

A former minicab driver today denied raping and sexually assaulting a string of elderly women.

Delroy Grant, 52, of Honor Oak, south-east London, pleaded not guilty to a series of offences between 1992 and 2009.

He appeared at the Old Bailey to face charges of rape, indecent assault and burglary.

Grant, a full-time carer for his estranged wife Jennifer, who has multiple sclerosis, was held by police in the early hours of 15 November last year.

He was interviewed by Scotland Yard detectives hunting a criminal dubbed the "Night Stalker".

Grant is accused of breaking into his victims' homes before subjecting them to sex attacks.

He is charged with three rapes, one attempted rape, seven indecent assaults, 16 burglaries and two attempted burglaries, involving a total of 18 victims.

The alleged offences took place in Warlingham, Shirley, Beckenham, Bromley, Addiscombe, Orpington and West Dulwich between October 1992 and May last year.

The inquiry set up to catch the Night Stalker was named Operation Minstead and opened in 1998.

most of his offences seem to be on adults and he admits to assaulting someone in prison (think theres a reasonable chance that was a male?), would kh insurance cover an elder chaperone if an invited serial sexual offender assaulted him while being escorted to the toilet?

perhaps the bethel coach tours could start up a neverland pilgrimage with their bethel tours package, and the borg could do a full spread in the watchtower and add earthsong to the song list at a convention or two for good measure.

What's the process of confessing to Elders?

my friend and his girlfriend will be meeting with their elders this coming week to confess the lengthy amount of time they've been committing "pornea".

so far the elders know that he wants to meet with them and he wants to setup a time.

he hasn't told them what for though.. he was asking me what the process will be like.

they might not get df'd, like blues said that can depend on how good they are at 'showing repentance' (grovelling) and how well theyre liked,

offhand i can think of 3 couples that got off with reproofs and restrictions by having quickie registry office services.
