  i went to the beach once with a friend of mine and judah ben schroeder.. i was not attracted to him sexually.. i was not attracted to my friend sexually.. the water was warm.

  my friend's mother was there but is dead now.

  he married an english girl.

  A bethelite acquaintance of mine told me that the feeling amongst many bethelites is that this cutback thing is indeed a move to clear out "dead" weight at Bethel. He also said that many in the factory felt like they were being replaced by machines...i.e. the new printing equipment. Its just like any corporation here in the U.S. there are layoffs of dead weight and jobs replaced by a more cost effective solution period. What I hate is that they are trying to make it seem so positive "more emphasis on the field..." Yeah right!

  i didnt take notes... stopped doing that a while ago but i did manage to listen to some of the program.

  Yes its a pretty big "matzo ball" hanging out there but I am wondering if this particular DO felt the need to mention it. What I mean is that perhaps that last talk they always give to sumarize is an outline and not a manuscript. It didnt sound like a manuscript because a lot of the talk was experiences, examples, and comments such as I said about the youth leaving. So others may not necessarily hear this same comment at other Circuit assemblies. He was very specific about it too, "bleeding", "hemorraging" and he was pleading with young ones to stay and kept saying there is nothing in the world so why even look as if you were missing something.

  My Brother Counsels My Mother About Her Sister & Me

  months ago my aunt told my mother that because she associated with me and she knew what my stand for the "truth" was, that she must stop associating with me because her association with me was a way for "the demons" to get to my mother who could then go to my aunt and others.

  my aunt told my mom that if she didn't stop her association that she couldn't continue with seeing her own sister on a weekly basis.

  my mom will be 80 this summer and my aunt is 82. my mother told her that she would not stop seeing her (1) son that "takes care of her" and that if my aunt's conscience was demanding of her to refrain from association, then so be it.

  Wow Minimus your mom sounds like a tenacious, strong woman. Good for her and how dare your brother tell her to stop associating with you. So she actually wants you to post the letter on here? Is she having more serious doubts about the "truth"?

  Thought of another one...the CO said that almost 60 in our circuit went inactive in the past year he said its VERY sad that we basically lost a small congregation, speaking of the amount of publishers. He implored the "spiritual shepherds to leave the 99 and find these lost sheep" Poor guy, he has no clue the elders dont have time for themselves and their families let alone people who probably dont want to go back anyway. Why doesnt the WT just leave these poor people alone.

  Program had 2 symposiums and various other talks. I didnt take notes... stopped doing that a while ago but I did manage to listen to some of the program. Noteworthy was the fact there there was no "Higher Education" bashing in this program. There was some strong counsel against the "immoderate" use of alcohol, that was on the local circuit needs so may not be on every CA though.

  Also an interesting comment from DO that the org is bleeding... he also said that an elder told him that their cong. is "hemmoraging" He specifically was referring the the fact that the young ones are leaving the org. in droves and he implored the young in attendance to think about it before you leave. He said the "world is garbage, why even be curious about it". Anyway it pretty much was your typical assembly and I have to admit that I was dozing off throughout and took numerous bathroom breaks to play games on my cell phone in the bathroom stall so I dont remember everything. As I do think of more points I will post them.

  Our hall is full of windows as are several in my area. It depends on the body of elders and if the RBC approves their ideas or not.

  Cocktail Ideas Anyone?

  for my job, i need to come up with a couple dozen drink ideas for spring/summer.

  i need some fruity, tropical type shyte.

  i have quite a few that i've concocted myself, but being mainly a beer/whiskey sort of fella, my imagination is running a little thin when it comes to the frooty dpt.. any ideas?

  crushed ice
  
  Lime or lemon garnish
  
  mix vodka and juice, pour into glass of crushed ice.
  
  Make sure the vodka's kept in the freeze as it should be.
  
  
  
  
  
  use 4 or 3 of Bicardi 151 if its an Elders meeting. Judicial committee chase it with a beer.
