  PIMO here. Spoke to a Friend from the east coast and we told me that he spoke to a bethelite over the weekend and one of the overseers in his dept. told them that we should not even try to guess what the cause of his not serving on the GB is but trust that the GB would not remove someone for health reasons...

  Now of course this could just be opinion of this Bethelite and has no basis in fact. There is still no way to tell for certain what exactly happened. What this does tell me however is that some people are starting to feel as though this was a removal. It might be in their best interest to address this sooner than later I think. Even their "godly bethelites" are starting to wonder WTH is going on.

  have the rank and file been told not to "gossip", or "question" about mr morris yet?

  i am mindful of how questioning decisions was discouraged and being told to keep things confidential.

  ( maybe too soon, but do share if a special needs part comes up) you would think that common sense would tell them they cause the questions when they don't share reasons.

  I still go to meetings , PIMO for 20 years...I know I know.. family is entrenched , anyway I receive 2 types of reactions to this news:

  1. "probably for health reasons, he is old

  2. "thats strange, I am sure more information is forthcoming"

  More favoring the health reasons comment by far. The ones that think its strange are probably PIMO or questioning or VERY liberal I am certain.

  Also keep in mind that GB members don’t just up and resign – they have to be forced out

  I know this is speculation but it tracks. So we can assume that this was at least a possibility in the case of AM3. That was from Eden1's link to AllanF's old thread btw

  This is true and very telling.... most end up dying, sickly and senile. Interesting to see what the rumor mill will start to say.

  mark jones, a witness for over 30 years describes what jws call bible studies offered to the public.. .

  "they (jehovah's witnesses) offer you a free home “bible” study - which turns out to be a study of a watchtower publication with the bible brought out as an afterthought to try and prop up whatever current idea the governing body are claiming is “the truth” this week.. i think it’s underhanded.. when my parents became jehovah’s witnesses and they offered people a free home “bible” study, this is what they brought to study with them:.

  what, did you think they were going to study the bible with you?.

  Go ahead and ask them for a bible study and make clear that you’ll only use the bible and no magazines. They might agree at first (might)… but when its made clear during the first study that you wont use their literature they’ll end the study with you

  So, very true indeed. You will still be counted though as an RV and be visited weekly especially in the winter months if you live in a cold climate (drive around time)

  2013 New World Translation

  on their website in the video "organizational accomplishments" watchtower devotes this segment to praising the superiority of the new world translation.

  about half way through, david splane relates the reason for a change in wording from the old 1984 nwt reference bible to the 2013 revised nwt.

  he said this was because of the recent discovery of an older manuscript that contained the greek word for overseer that was unavailable when the reference bible was being compiled.

  Perhaps they changed it to prepare for all of the 21-24 year old elders being appointed moving forward from this years letter to all bodies. "Older men" would be a harder sell on the R&F I think. It still is but PIMI's will fall in line anyway.

  25/30 complex bethelites...

  i was wondering if there are any other former bethelites who worked in this complex during the late 80s and 90s who are on this board.

  i am asking because it appears this specific set of people seemed to have or experience the worst aspects of that hell hole and i wanted to see if there are any others.
