Interesting that to a JW, "balanced" and "accurate" means any presentation that says only positive things and nothing negative about the organization...

"Tweeter and the Monkey Man" by the Traveling Wilburys is essentially a Bob Dylan parody of a typical Bruce Springsteen song (no specific song, though). He even includes a reference to a "Jersey Girl". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qeNP6cOa1Y

The NWT actually teaches about the Trinity?
by bite me indoes the nwt teach about the trinity and they do not even realize it because they are either not reading it, or reading around it?
this is an observation that i came across.
i'd love to hear what you think.

Fire, if you were playing devil's advocate, you're not doing a very good job, because I agree exactly with what you say. :-) YHWH is the name of God, and God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. So that is likely the one name that Jesus refers to.

Another interesting question about the NWT (or most other translations, for that matter) is what is the NAME (singular, not "names") of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,

>>>Reading the "National Lampoon".
>>>What?
That's what I said...
I had just purchased a copy of the latest issue (back when NatLamp was an actual magazine) and was flipping through it while sitting in my car. A newer brother came up to say hi without my noticing him and we chatted a bit. Several months later, I finally noticed I was not being used for prayer, reading at the book study or WT study, etc. etc. When I asked one of the elders what was going on, he informed me that this brother had told the elders that he saw me reading "pornography" and they thought it better not to use me any more.
What really ticked me off about it was that, first, they were willing to assume that what this newbie told them was true without even asking me whether it was so, and second, that they didn't care enough about me to actually try to help with my alleged "problem," but were only interested in what congregational action they could take against me. Just one more straw on the pile that would eventually make me see the WTS for what it is.

I hate to rain on the parade, but it sounds to me as if only the first line is the same. After that, the two melodies are quite different.

In my years of observation, one can be disfellowshipped for anything that three elders can agree he/she should be disfellowshipped for.
