Horseshoes - baaaad
by iMARX inhey did anyone ever not buy items or clothes with horseshoes on because they're a symbol of luck and jws don't believe in luck?.
hahaha i totally remember my mum seeing lovely greetings cards but as soon as she saw a horse shoe on it she would put it straight back on the shelf.
the same with necklaces and bracelets.

Well my "winter' yard decorations have caught the Elders attention !!!!!

i wasn't sure since they have only stopped by once in the last almost four yrs.. here is what has them all in a tissy........ i guess the lighted deer and lights on the railing screams christmas .....i was going for cheerful winter ,guess i overshot.. .

by tresdecu inregarding the crazy wt logo shining thread, i got to thinking how blatant it is.
what if a member of the writing dept.
who is "apostate" had the idea to put that in there thinking that it might wake some up to the madness they are apart of, also know that his suggesting the logo would get a stamp of approval from the gb.

I would think that if they were going to ask the publishers to start downloading and printing their own study articles, they would make the whole magazine available in pdf, not just the study articles. Otherwise, some would never see the rest of the magazine.

Wow, Grace, can you believe I just discovered this post? Guess I'm not watching the feed as closely as I should.
I'm glad you enjoyed the Communion talk online, but the convention just wasn't the same without you there! Some of the other regulars were missing, too; I guess it was just a difficult year for a lot of people. It was still a great time, though.
Next year, perhaps?

by Aussie Oz incan anybody tell me how much jws 'donate' for the magazines, 192 page books and bibles at the k/hall?.
are subscriptions still available to the mags?.
can you get the study wt by sub or only if you are a jw at the hall?.

Sigh, I was there. That was the assembly I got baptized at. They herded almost 3000 of us into standing-room-only school buses and proceeded to bus us across the Bronx (on the Cross-Bronx Expressway) in extreme summer heat (no A/C in school buses in those days) for about a 2-hour drive each way because of heavy traffic (which would have been about 20 minutes each way without the traffic). We missed the entire lunch break and part of the afternoon session, but by golly, we got dunked. The beginning of my 30-year misadventure.
