I'm not sure that I understand your question

When I left the Witnesses at first I felt that they are fulfilling Matt 24:14 and they are the only ones doing this work, which left me feeling bad as I had been part of it but now I was no longer joining them in this work. I no longer feel like thit.

For me the decision was based on Armageddon coming shortly within the generation. If I wasn't a raised a JW I wouldn't have had that belief.

No we wouldn't have met.

My wife is a good wife. On out wedding night see told me she lay awake watching me sleep and couldn't believe we were married. We have only ever had two/three small disagreements in more than 30 years. No shouting or throwing things.

She commented once that there is no passion.

Why Faith is Self-Defeating

the god of christian theism values faith.. "without faith it is impossible to please god, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists" - heb.11.

faith and evidence are inversely proportional - the more evidence there is that god exists the less faith you need in that proposition and vice-versa.. so how can a christian criticise any other faith-based belief?

for example they can protest that all the evidence is against the claims of scientology, but that just means that scientologists require more faith than christians.
