Has Anyone Gotten Disfellowshipped Here and For What??
by minimus insex issues seem to be the number one reason but apostasy is right up there too.
even if you weren’t disfellowshipped , do you know why some people you know were disfellowshipped?
?.

Booted for associating with other disfellowshipped persons. Later one of the London head honchos announced to the press that choosing to shun was just a personal matter. But I didn't get an apology from the DF'ing committee. I suspect the head honcho was lying..

Removing Historic Monuments and Statues - Does the Term "Historical" Make it Right or Wrong?
by RubaDub inafter further review and thought, i really don't see how removing a monument or statue that may be truly offensive to a large group of people is in some way rewriting history.. i think of germany or other parts of europe.
you don't see swastikas on buildings or statues of hitler or mussolini or other upper level generals in public.
would it be good for a person (think jewish) to drive around a city and see hitler in a public park, even though it is "historical?

All initially noble movements are eventually hi-jacked by malcontents and / or anarchists in order to further their own ends. Basically they jump on whatever band-wagon is around and scream persecution at the first opportunity. Some people are fooled; some are not.

Thunderous Applause Around The Stadium
by Number 6 ingrowing up in the 70's and 80's in the jw religion who remembers the massive stadium gigs the watchtower used to hold?.
we used to denounce false religion in the starkest of terms.
we were right and by god we were letting anyone who listened know it.

Is it me or is John Cedars channel becoming a self important circle fest
by phoenixrising ini still like the commentary on the jw.org monthly’s, i can skip through some parts.
but it seems like he is pushing too hard to put out videos and the quality is getting very low on the content..

If Mr. Evans was posting incognito I would probably regard him with as much respect as I do the many folk who have posted here anonymously and in doing so have been of great help to ex's and would be leavers. As it is, I fear that what I see is mainly self-aggrandisement and as such I find his videos impossible to watch.

UK Civil Service Damns UK Government
by cofty infollowing the daily covid19 briefing, in which boris johnson defended his advisor dominic cummings for travelling to his family estate after showing symptoms of the virus, the civil service official twitter feed posted the following.. .
the tweet was quickly deleted.
i can't overstate how unthinkable it is that the service should publicly criticise the government of the day.. boris' defense of cummings is a huge error in judgement and will destroy its credibility.

In these days of political correctness, equality, and avoidance of offence, no matter how minimal, one wonders when investigative journalism became the accusative type of interrogation that we witnessed yesterday.

Field service national average - what do you think it is now?
by BourneIdentity init’s always been 10 hours when door to door was active.
i’m curious of how it’s changed with only letter writing and phone witnessing approved.. i’m curious if they are able to do it for 3 hours like a typical door to door morning.
i would be surprised.

Hmm..maybe. The question remains as to why the media hung on to this story for over 6 weeks? Were they timing its release so as to inflict maximum damage on the government? As for the tweet, one can only wonder to what extent the establishment, ie the remainer Civil servants, that's nearly all of them, have been stoking the flames?
