In case the subhuman lowlife gristle that is the management and boards of directors of the Watchower corporations are monitoring this site, my message to them is: GO TO HELL! GO DIRECTLY TO HELL! DO NOT PASS GO! DO NOT COLLECT $200!

Has Anyone Got Any Proof That The Society Monitors Apostate Web Sites?
by slimboyfat ini am extremely skeptical about this, yet people on this forum seem to talk about it as though it were a fact.
so has anyone got any actual concrete proof?
here are the reasons why i don't think they do:.

I believe the jws are right and that they have the truth. i believe many of you know that too. -- Holly
Holly,
Your belief that others here concur with your beliefs is rather presumptuous. Personally, I believe you are joining a cult because you have succumbed to their powerful mind control techniques, which have been perfected over the course of their despicable history. The real "truth" is that the Watchtower is a corporate cult, that enslaves the minds of many for the despicable greed and thirst for power of its stockholders. That is what I believe, so you can cross me off the list of the "many" that you delusionally ascribe your beliefs to.

Mixed marriages with JWs rarely work.
There are a few of us out there. And we are on this board. I still vote for not freaking out on her. Time enough for that later -- jgnatjgnat,
The key word is "few." Few work, so the odds are significant that CYP is going to be in need of assistance from a family law attorney. The sooner he at least consults with one, the better off he will be. In the very likely event that divorce becomes a reality for him, having consulted with an attorney earlier rather than later will help him be prepared for the worst. In the event of a divorce, the Watchtower will likely support his wife and put him at a legal disadvantage, so it's best to get the upper hand early. I'm not in any way recommending divorce; rather, I'm trying to communicate to CYP that divorce is an extremely likely reality, notwithstanding a few cases where mixed marriages work, so he should be seeking advice on how to deal with what is a strong potential of a divorce situation.
I second that, jgnat. Although it's not easy - a successful marriage to a JW is very possible - I think it depends solely upon the people involved and how they handle the situation. CYP is the best judge of his wife and their situation - and while he should keep a watchful eye, I don't think he needs to run for the hills just yet. -- Rebellious Spirit
RebelliousSpirit,
While a successful marriage by a normal person to a Jehovah's Witness is indeed "possible," it's certainly not probable. I agree that CYP shouldn't "run to the hills just yet," but I do think he should run to an attorney's office immediately to plan and prepare for dealing with what is an extremely significant threat to his marriage, as well as to the psychological well being of his children, which his wife is selfishly overlooking. Burying his head in the sand and underestimating the threat he's facing does not seem wise, given the very real and extremely significant threat the Watchtower is presently posing to his marriage and family. Better prepared than sorry later.
CYP,
Besides consulting with an attorney, I recommend that you obtain a copy of "Jehovah's Witnesses and the Problem of Mental Health" (1992) by Dr. Jerry Bergman. Like myself and many others here, Dr. Bergman was born and raised a Jehovah's Witness. He has conducted extensive, very objective research that supports the conclusions that mental illness in the Jehovah's Witnesses is substantially higher than the normal population of non-Jehovah's Witnesses. Children in Jehovah's Witness households experience an extremely unhealthy psychological environment. To illustrate that point, let me tell you about my own peer group in the congregation I attended. 2 went to prison for unrelated felony drug trafficking convictions, 1 went to prison for armed robbery of a Carl's Jr., one has been married and divorced many times and has kids with several different women. One I knew seems to be well adjusted to life, but he was not born and raised in the cult; rather, he converted at about age 17. As I'm sure many on this board will agree, it is a certainty that your children will suffer at least some psychological damage if they are exposed to this abusive cult.
To that end, it might also be wise to seek the assistance of a counselor, preferably a marriage and family counselor who has had at least some experience in dealing with situations of this nature. You'd be surprised at how many of these cases are out there, and you'd be frightened to know of the psychological damage that this cult has inflicted upon hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people (particularly children).
Do not underestimate the threat this cult poses to your family. It would probably be a lot easier to deal with a situation such as marital infidelity than it will be to deal with this one. I feel very sorry that you are in the position you are in and I hope for the best for you and your family, including your wife. If I was in your shoes, the Witnesses would need police protection to be anywhere near my wife. Good luck to you and your family!

"What am I supposed to get legal advice about?"
For starters, I'd get advice on the very real possibility that your marriage will be ending, sooner than you might suspect. Your wife is already answering to the Watchtower, so you can safely assume that the day will come when she will choose the Watchtower over you. I know it's hard for you to believe it will come to that, but I'd give you 80% or greater odds that you're heading for divorce. Mixed marriages with JWs rarely work.
As part of that consultation, you should inquire about the laws of your state regarding custody of your children. The Watchtower may actually provide legal assistance to your wife, at no cost to her, to steal your children away from you and force them to endure the misery and exploitation that comes with being a child of a Jehovah's Witness. You can not even fathom how horrible it is to be a child in the Jehovah's Witness cult. It will definitely result in the infliction of severe emotional distress on your children, and after your irresponsible wife twiddles her thumbs and blames other factors for the psychological damage to your kids, you will be left to pick up the pieces. If you want your children to grow up healthy, you must keep them away from this abusive cult. It will positively damage them.
Others have mentioned the blood transfusion issue. In California and many other states, a parent cannot stop a doctor from administering a life-saving blood transfusion to a minor. Find out what the laws are in your state.
Your situation with your wife is a lot more serious than I think you realize. Don't underestimate this situation, it has the potential to destroy your relationship as well as the lives of your children. The Jehovah's Witness cult is threatening your family, don't just lie there and let them victimize you. Step up to the plate and fight the Watchtower cult aggressively! Kick their f'ing ass! -

check_your_premises,
Given what you've said, you'd be wise to consult a family law attorney sooner rather than later. She will be pressured to either get you to join her cult, or divorce you. Good legal planning can help you avoid at least some of the adverse consequences that might be inevitable. I'm sorry to hear of your situation and hope your wife experiences a lucid interval. Good luck!

went to a meeting tonight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by vitty ini went to my first meeting in 9 months (dont ask ive got my reasons cant say on an public board).
they reviewed a wt july 1st page 12----19. it was saying that you should have concern for people who are spiritually weak you should remember all the good things they had done in the past.
even if they wernt going to meetings anymore.

I truely believe the majority of those who do shun weak ones do it because they are upset with that one and are afraid that they may rub off on them. -- defd
defd,
What you label as being "weak" is actually a sign of strength. The weak-minded rank and file follow the edicts of the Watchtower without question. Those with a modicum of mental strength will question the obviously illogical commands of the board of directors of the Watchtower corporations.
Keep in mind however that the REAL purpose for the meetings are not what many people make them to be but are for Giving God glory and according to Hewbrews 10:24 Let US consider one another to love and fine works................ --defd
I don't recall God ever being given "glory" at the meetings. Rather, I recall being told how to act when confronted with a given set of circumstances (aka "programming"), and glory being given to those who push the envelope when it comes to serving the Watchtower corporations. The "real purpose" of the meetings is to exert power and control over the great crowd of pigeons, depriving them of any free thoughts or familial interaction that might occur during free time. The meetings teach you how to think and act in accordance with the resolutions of the Watchtower corporations' boards of directors, thereby facilitating the conformance of your thoughts and actions to those determined to be beneficial to the Watchtower corporations' monetary interests.
The bottom line of all this though is this: Missing the meetings is not good for us spiritually and those who do shun weak ones are not following jesus example -- defd
Au contrare, missing the meetings is very good for us, spiritually and mentally. The more meetings you miss, the more opportunity to develop some clear thoughts that will enable you to break the chains of mental bondage imposed upon you by the boards of directors of the Watchtower corporations, who work hard to maximize the fund balance available to the anonymous stockholders of these despicable corporations.

Does anyone make any money out of the Watchtower org..?
by Qcmbr ini presume most of the peple ar eunpaid clergy but does anyone actually get paid or live a life of luxury paid for by the org?
on other words is anyone standing to make a profit by continuing this work..?
-

Since the Watchtower does not disclose its financial statements, we can only speculate as to where the money goes. Hmmm . . . they are exempt from income taxes as a religious organization, the "bethelites" who print the propaganda do so for less than minimum wage, and the marketing personnel are entirely unpaid (i.e., the great crowd of pigeons). I'd venture to guess that given these circumstances, the Watchtower is keeping a large portion of their revenues in their "fund balance." I think someone somewhere is profitting immensely, and it's my opinion/guess that those who are profitting are stockholders or their designees. Someone somewhere is living a good life, thanks to the misery of millions. But we won't know who, given the secrecy of the Watchtower.

In life, how do you walk?
by Tigerman in.
on a day to day basis, does it really make any difference to you as how you perceive others and how they perceive you?
if so, do you think this thought process can be altered, in one way or another, for the greater good?

"How do you guys find the time to chat on this board all day?" -- DavidA
Few, if any of us, chat "all day." Your words connote an obvious disrespect for those who use this forum, and are indicative of a person who is a JW or a JW apologist/advocate. Do you have a job? If you do, I bet it's not a very good one, given your lame effort to attack the users of this forum. Stick to window washing and leave advocacy to those who are intellectually capable!
