Ok, Jaron, I hear what you are saying, but you still seem to be missing the main point. You like to ask questions, but after you become a "Baptized JW", all such questioning must STOP. If you continue to question the Elders about key doctrines, they will DF you just for asking the questions. The JW's are a very high control group and DEMAND 100% agreement to everything that is published in the WT publications.
Please read the following site completly. It will explain why much of what the JW's teach as 'Truth' is not truth at all.
Jehovah's Witnesses: A Critical Analysis
These 3 links are from that site.
Obedience to the Watchtower Society
The above link has a quote from a WT that says, "FIGHT AGAINST INDEPENDENT THINKING" Are you sure you want to 'blindly accept' what they say is 'Truth'?
These two links show how the WT has MISQUOTED the original source material to make it 'fit' what they only wish it said. Are you sure that you want to trust an organization that must lie by MISQUOTING others??

Jaron,
Your example is b-4 you have been baptized. It ALL changes once you become a BAPTIZED JW. Yes, 'studies' ARE encouraged to question everything - but even they get into trouble for asking the 'wrong' questions. Just ask holly:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/84502/1.ashx
She had been ready to get baptized when she found JWD, too. After reading a number of posts, she had MAJOR questions. So she asked. The above thread is entitled:
'Studies over....................sob............they dont want me..."
Learn from HER example, please Jaron.

Jaron,
Are you aware that being a baptized JW means that you will be allowed to study ONLY WT publications when it comes to theology? All other books will be considered 'apostate' and therefore not allowed. If you persist you will be df'ed.

JWD flyers on cars at KH's
by ko38 in.
what if we all printed up some flyers advertising ..........seek the truth about the truth.go to jw.com for the answers to questions youv'e had or may have.read articles from the watchtower that the society hopes you will never find.. could we legaly put those on their windshields during a meeting?im sure we could do it at least once, and then if asked to leave comply with their wishes.its a well nown fact that out of 100 or 1000 or 100,000 that some will take the bait and check it out just due to human curiousity.. if we all started using the same informal preaching as them such as dropping flyers at laundry mats and phone booths and grociery stores etc you would think it would catch on.i havent counted all the members of this board and how many countries are represented but it sure looks like a lot to me.. what do you guys and gals think?..............ken

"If theres something rotten in the WBTS then I will try to remove it (I know it sounds easy, but I like to think im the kind of guy who at least tries to do something like that)." ---Jaron
Jaron, Bill Bowen was an elder and when he found something 'rotten' within the WBTS he tried to change it too. But it got him disfellowshiped. Read about what he found rotten here:

Holly,
If you read this long, long thread, you will see why 'the attitude' toward 'a friend in need'. In short she has been rude and insulted posters that have just ask her to provide some scripture references.

Bug,
Please ignore 'a friend in need'. She is just here to 'put in her service time'. She claims to be an active JW but yet she hurls insults at posters who only ask her to quote the scriptual proof for the core doctrine of JW's - that being the authority of the Governing Body. Why not read the following thread, even though it is very long, it is worth the time and effort:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/84617/1.ashx
It might be well if you did a little research into the topic of the FDS doctrine, too.
Ask yourself the same questions that OldSoul was asking and accept only the answers that come from scripture itself - not the publications that are printed by the Watchtower Society.
